If you are active in teaching or designing electronics you will be aware of the gap between testing, trying out, and bringing prototypes into real world applications. When we started designing the MIAC product line the first question was: where, in the real world, will this product be mounted? As a result of that thinking you will find a 35mm ‘top hat’ DIN rail connector on the back of all our MIAC models. The MIAC will live a hidden life, mounted away in a ‘dark’ electrical cabinet, doing its duty. With this in mind, the MIAC has a Backlit LCD display – no need to bring a flashlight for maintenance!

In this ‘dark’ cabinet, the MIAC will face typical industrial voltage signals. With 0 -10V inputs, up to 24V motor outputs, 240V switching relays, 8 analogue or digital inputs, 4 high current relay outputs and 4 solid state outputs, the MIAC range has been designed to work under all signal conditions.

Other features include a fully operational CAN bus interface so that many MIACs can be networked together to form wide area electronic systems. The CAN bus parameters are adjustable, so as to interface to existing networks. Several of the range also feature RS232 and RS485 serial communication interfaces.
