Matrix TSL partnership with Peruvian Technical Institution

Matrix TSL is pleased to announce its part in the establishment of a new technical institute in Peru.

In the last year we have been supplying several ranges of equipment for a brand new educational institution in Peru: the Public institution of technology education for the Armed Forces, which is based in the Rimac suburb of Peru. This new institution will offer a range of technical degrees and qualifications to those who have just completed their national service with the Peruvian armed forces.

This project was co-ordinated by our partner Festo Didactic and is one of the largest educational projects completed in South America in the last decade. Initially the school will have 1,200 students which will ramp up to 7,700 students in a few years time. As the deadlines for completion were tight and the buildings were not ready in time for lab commissioning, Festo constructed the labs in portable buildings so that hardware labs could be commissioned and teacher training could take place before students arrived on campus.

For the project Matrix supplied lab materials and experimentation equipment for teaching about the basics of electricity, equipment for training students on Automotive electricity and experimental hardware and software to help students understand and develop microcontroller based products.
