Electric circuits comprise a supply (battery or other voltage source) together with one or more closed paths through which current can flow. Electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors and inductors, are connected in the circuit in order to modify the current flowing. Electronic circuits and components can be connected in series or in parallel. A simple lamp circuit can be used to understand the difference between these two forms of connection.
