If a transformer is loss-free (i.e. no power is lost in the core or in the windings), the primary and secondary powers (PP and PS, respectively) will be identical.

Hence: PP = PS

thus: VP x IP = VS x IS

Hence: VP/VS = IS/IP and IS/IP = NP/NS
