Re: I2C between 2 PIC-Micros

Hi I have found out the bugs in the FCD and this is because of being in same group..PIC18f2585, PIC18f2680, PIC18f4585 & PIC18f4680. Last two has CCP and ECCP both with comparator whereas first two has CCP but no ECCP and no comparator. But same initialization causing the problem. Here is the co...

Re: Search a Character in a String

That can be done by using combination three functions which I guess would have been required if using instr function. Functions are: Length$, Mid$ and Compare$. This is from the flowcode V6 Wiki on String Manipulation Functions : (also available via flowcode help). Length$(string) Retrieves the leng...

Hi Tiny, do you need a "Virtual RTC function" for the Microcontroller or do you need a Base compare Date and Time with Data from/over Wifi? ( RS232 UART ? ) Best wishes. Rudi ;-) Edit: Hi Tiny, i have see your Flowchart. Ok i think i have understand. Tiny, only a hint, perhabs this helps.....

Re: Support

Hi Guys, Just to try and head this off, if I can. Flowcode is a great product which we as a company are very proud of and love to work on. Matrix is also a great company with great products that we can be proud of. However as with many software product there will be bugs. We do our best to fix probl...

Re: Need help with PIC functions

You can read the port without affecting it by first adding a variable e.g ReadPortA
then add a C code block and drag ReadPortA into it.
Add = register name in lower case;
e.g:
read port.png

You can then send the value of ReadPortA to LCD or RS232 etc

DS1307 RTC All In One Reader & Programmer.

I have just Purchased a few RTC modules from 4tronix for £3.20 each: RTC DS1307.png DS1307 Datasheet Only took a couple of days to arrive and shop owner does answer any queries you have very quickly indeed! You can purchase at a cheaper price from china, but I did not want to complicate things with ...

Re: Best tactic: how to split data sentences?

Hi MJU,
I'm assuming you require help with flowcode V6?
If so take a look at the flowchart.
I did not have a lot of time but thought of one way.
There maybe a better way?

Re: Help please for ESP8266, Timeout at Join AP

Hello Tiny,

Please find the attached component with a new parameter for the ConnectToSSID macro allowing you to specify the timeout time in seconds. The timeout used to be fixed at 2 seconds.

WLAN_ESP8266.fcpx

Let me know how you get on.

Aha Ok well then if you need the timers then MATRIX will fix the FCD file for you on monday I guess
the dsPIC33EPxxxPxxx is a great micro controllers in my opinion :D I really like the dsPIC' they have very good performance and peripherals

Re: Please Help, error while compiling my project

Attached a fixed version of the FCD file. Drop in ..\Flowcode 7\FCD\PIC (make a copy of the original first, just in case) @Benj: For timer3 and timer5 RD16 needs to be replaced with RD163 and RD165. Regarding the connection point, when looking at the generated code I do not see what issue you are ex...

Re: Offline Activation FC7

Hi Tiny, Offline activation to pro works for me after latest 7.1.0.0 patch. If you don't already know, you will first need to retrieve details by logging in to Matrix home page . After logging in select Download FC7 Licence , then select GET LICENCE Just select all and copy the Activation Key which ...

Re: Oled (SSD1306) as slave

Normally, the I2C bus needs 4.7 kOhm pull up. If you use 2.2 kOhm and the SSD1306 has built-in pull up, the result can be lower than 2.2 kOhm. Smaller resistance, harder to pull down by the RTC and/or SSD1306. Or try to monitor the I2C bus by a logic analyser.

Re: Oled (SSD1306) as slave

Hi Tiny, The GLCD Font data can be pulled from the GLCD Base component. This contains the GLCD simulation but also the embedded function ReadASCIILUT which will convert a ASCII value into the font pixel data you need. Each character must be passed - 32 so to print the value 'A' you must pass pos_str...

Re: A problem with PIC18F26K22 / PIC18F46K22 with FC7

Hi Christina,

Many thanks for letting us know. I have now found and fixed the problem.

Simply copy the attached CAL file into your "Flowcode 7/CAL/PIC" folder and the issue should be resolved.

Re: Please help with RXINT0

Hello, Many apologies for the delay in replying. No the UART RXINT interrupts don't currently work in simulation. To get around this you can either include a call to the RXINT macro in your main loop or you can add a simulation API timer to call the macro for you on a regular basis. I wonder if we c...

Re: Questions about ECIO dsPIC33

Hi Christina, The ECIO40 and ECIO40P16 both follow the footprint of a 40-pin DIL package. Here is a basic dimensional drawing. dims.jpg The chip can only output at 3V3 but the pins shown below in grey are tolerant of 5V input voltages. 5vpins.jpg Here are 5V tolerant pins - F0, F1, D0, D1, D2, D3, D...

Re: Questions about ECIO dsPIC33

Hi Christina, The I2C components can use the software mode without any major consequences but hardware would probably be slightly better if available. The Hardware I2C pins are not available on the ECIO40P16 device as the pins do not come out on the 40 pin DIL connector. I hadn't realised this. I've...

Re: Problem with ECIO40P16 and timer larger timer 1 in macro

Hi Christina, Sorry for the delay. This is now working really well for me and will hopefully help in your application. I use an IOC interrupt on the high byte of Port B to trigger timer 5 to be enabled. When timer 5 interrupts I increment a counter and then disable timer 5 again. The counter is then...

Re: Problem with ECIO40P16 and timer larger timer 1 in macro

Here is a slightly modified FCD which includes the timer flag and counter reset as part of the enable code so you don't have to manually add it using a C icon. Simply copy this to your "Flowcode 7/FCD/PIC16" folder before starting Flowcode and hopefully this should allow your program to fu...

Re: RS232 Limited string length when sending / receiving dat

Thanks for the information.
Wow, it's a bug, or a limitation at least, in our UART(RS232) component, which is limiting the SendString to 255 characters.
I guess that has been enough for most applications over the years, but we will get this extended and get back to you.
