Re: V4.5 Graphical LCD module no longer works

Hello Zane, Yes here is the older component C file. It should work fine with v4.5 but I would make a backup of the original first incase you ever need it. Simply pop it into your "Flowcode v4/Components" directory before starting Flowcode. I will also look into why you are getting the garb...

Re: Program will not run when it is over a certain size.

Hi Zane, RIght I'm sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I was not aware of this over 64KB limitation in our software but as you say there is a problem. No we haven't currently been able to replicate the issue here, mainly due to lack of time. We cannot currently do anything to fix the PPP s...

Re: Program will not run when it is over a certain size.

In general cut-and-paste will not work. It can be done, you need to purchase the same compiler used for Flowcode and create a mplab project for each Flowcode project. Creating the mplab project is generally a lot of work due to the dependencies used by Flowcode C files. C18 will not work with the co...

Re: Switching on Pickit 3 supply voltage ?

Hi Fellas, I have sussed it, First you must add the -V5 or -V3.3 to your programmer parametrs like this: -P%p -F"%f.hex" -V5 -E -M -Y"%f.hex" Then you have to make sure that your Pickit 3 is in MPLAB mode, you can do this by opening the Pickit3 scripting tool gui (free to downloa...

Re: Flowcode 6 Pickit3

Hi Mark,
Have you tried removing all spaces.

I know if you leave any spaces within file name, you get a hex not found error.

Re: Controlling a back light on a 4D Systems display

Hi Zane, I've just added a display control macro to the component for you which allows you to set the display on/off, set the backlight on/off and control the contrast. Have a go and see how you get on. gLCD_EB076_4D.fcpx The file needs to be placed here "C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\compo...

Component Creation Tutorials

Hi all, I thought it would be a really good time to wright my own tutorials based on my experience in creating components for flowcode. I sometimes see that people ares struggling to create ore start creating there own components, that was the reason for me to make tutorials available to the flowcod...

Re: Controlling the backlight of a 4D systems display

Hi Zane,

Should be easy enough, which chip variant of v5 are you using and I will adjust the component C file with the new function.

Re: Controlling the backlight of a 4D systems display

Hello,

Here is a new component C file that should work and allow you to control the display like the new v6 component does.

FC5_PIC_gLCD_5.c

Let me know how you get on.

Re: Unable to program a PIC18F2685 in ICD mode

Hi It looks like a bug in the Boostc header file PIC18F2685.h Usually found here… C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode\v5\Tools\boostc\include Your program will compile if you comment out lines 305 and 4201 as follows: // #define PORTE 0x00000F84 // volatile char porte @PORTE; Regards, Leigh

Re: Stack corruption warning when compiling

Hello, Currently for 8-bit PIC the Floating point math is done via an external library to the compiler so each floating point calculation has to be done using a function. As we are using a function there are problems if the same function is used inside the main program loop and in the interrupt rout...

Re: Problems using the "find" function with the circular buf

Hi Zane, If you use a string variable and a calculation icon then you can do things like this to set the individual byte values. strvar[0] = 'A' strvar[1] = 'B' strvar[2] = 'C' strvar[3] = 255 strvar[4] = 128 etc then just pass strvar to the find function. Or I believe you can enter hex values direc...

Re: RS232 send string

The macro has no limits. On 8 bit PICs a string can not exceed 255 bytes (or memory size, whatever is smallest). Also take care not to have \x00 in the string as that will be interpreted to be the end of the string.

Re: Look for value in circular buffer not working

Hello Zane, I wonder if the problem could be the BoostC compiler and the "\xXX" strings. How about you create a string variable and then assign the hex values your looking for to the variable in a calculation icon like this. StrVar[0] = 0xB0 StrVar[1] = 0x32 StrVar[2] = 0x97 StrVar[3] = 0x...

Re: DsPIC stops running if GLCD is included in the program

Hi Zane, In your program the first component macro which I assume should be the display initialise is blank. This could explain why the display is not working and the program is locking up. Regarding the EB076 / 4D Touchscreen component question. V1 works with the old uLCD-32PT display whereas V2 wo...

Hello Zane,

You need to edit the component macros for DisplayImageFromFile as the parameters have had to change.
