Re: How to print byte as binary string to gLCD?

darkmagic35 wrote:Can you give me please an example of one method directly in Flowcode?

Sure, here you go.

ConvertStringToByte sets test[0] as MSB and ConvertStringToByte2 sets test[7] as MSB.

Re: Bubble Sort?

You should try the binary sort algorithm. Bubble sort works great, but it needs to check the whole array again and again. I know that for something like this there's no need for improvement, but, it could be interesting to take a look at. Anyways, If you start a sort algorithm It will change the pla...

SAMSUNG remote control decoder

Hi everyone, I made a SAMSUNG remote control decoder. First of all I want to say that I only have one SAMSUNG remote control, so I don't know if the program I made is compatible with other SAMSUNG remote controls. Secondly, I didn't find much info (almost nothing) about the SAMSUNG protocol, so I me...

Re: SAMSUNG remote control decoder

Hi, I'm sorry, I totally forgot about that ... I did find a program for a SAMSUNG IR transmitter somewhere in my files, but I don't remember if I did try it "in real" and if it worked... I'm using RA0 as output for the IR. The attached file is what you need ! If you have any problems/quest...

GPS EB-056 with Flowcode v3

Hi everyone, As you might know, there's no GPS component in Flowcode v3 and I have the GPS E-Block. So, I came up with this program that will allow you to use the GPS with Flowcode v3. It is a bit based on the PIC_GPS.c code from v4 and it uses the RS232 (UART/USART) component, with a baudrate of 96...

Re: Lottery Numbers Generator (Flowcode V4)

Hi, I came up with another way on how to make random numbers that changes on every start-up / reset. So my idea is to use the EEPROM, as I never use it and has random values stored. Take the first two values of the EEPROM (address 0 & address 1), store them in, lets say, eeprom0 and eeprom1. The...

Re: PC to PIC communication: Part 2

Thanks medelec35 :mrgreen: The idea of this article came from what my school uses as devboard + VB. (An ADuC832 with LCD, LEDs and switches and RS232 connection). I just took that idea and made it for PIC. It was also something I wanted to try, PIC to PC communication through USB, as USB is now used...

Re: aqua controller + DS1307 I need some help

To clear the first bit of your byte you can do this like this : "byte = byte & ~(1 << 0)" ( (1 << 0) = 0000 0001b => ~0000 00001b = 1111 1110b) If "byte" is set to 1111 1111b, then the result would be 1111 1110b Changing the value '0', from this piece of code ~(1 << 0), to 1 ...

Are you using Flowcode v4 ? (I can't open it with my v3)

If you do, you should sing up to that forum and ask your questions there ;).

Re: PC to PIC communication: Part 1

Okay so I got it to work on my brother's 64-bit Windows 7 PC. Here's how I did it: - Copy mscomm32.ocx into C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ (instead of system32) - Execute the next command : "regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mscomm32.ocx" That's it ;). EDIT : I added how you'd install mscomm32.ocx on a 6...

Re: How to transform a 10bit int into two 8bit byte ?

Hi,

I would do something like this :

higher_byte = (ADC_value & 0xFF00) >> 8
lower_byte = (ADC_value & 0xFF)

;)

EDIT:

To rebuild the value after reading it from the rs232 :

ADC_value = higher_byte << 8 | lower_byte

Re: How to use internal osilator

I do not have Flowcode v4 for AVR so I don't know how you would change that, but I do know that you'll need to change the fusebits to enable the internal oscillator.

Re: SAMSUNG remote control decoder

The only experience I have with IR protocols is this samsung IR remote control.
Try to search on google some info about your remote controls protocol.

Seems like your remote uses this protocol : http://www.sbprojects.com/knowledge/ir/sirc.htm

I made this little program, I haven't tested it, but I think it should work.

Re: AVR atmega8 TQFP

You don't need AVR Studio 4 to program your atmega8, Flowcode can do that. Just make your program like you would do with other microcontrollers, compile to hex and send it with Flowcode. Btw, the package of the microcontroller doesn't change the way you would program it, so an atmega8 with a TQFP pa...

Learning a bit of C programming will help you alot in making programs with flowcode.

This doesn't clear the high nibble but the low nibble. ( X & 0 = 0 )

Re: Calculating age given DOB-PIC maths

It's not that difficult to do, assuming the PIC knows which day, month and year we are "today". I'd probably do something like this: char age, month, day, input_month, input_day; short year, input_year; // year, month and day is given by a RTC (?) // input_year, input_month and input_day i...
