Re: Interrupt in Eico40

hello Jorgen for TIMER0, the frequency of the interrupt is (see datasheet of your favorite Pic, chapter Timer0) For a basic use of Flowcode f (INT) = f(Quartz) / 4 / (prediv) / 256 If you use C code : (INT) = f(Quartz) / 4 / (prediv) / X, you must add at the beginning of the interrupt macro a C icon...

Re: 8x8 LED dot matrix scrolling display

Hello, The way to control something like this is to have a tight loop say controlled via an interrupt that simply reads a data array and outputs the contents to the 8x8 LEDs probably a byte at a time. The interrupt repeats say every 1-5ms and every time it runs it looks at a different array position...

Re: Eeprom

Hello, Great glad its working for you now. This FCD fix will be available as part of the up coming release. 1) Yes it was a small bug in the device definition file. 2) Yes all EEPROM addresses should now work correctly. 3) I've just checked the 16F872 FCD and it's correct and should work ok. i.e. it...

Re: Matrix team FCD files!

Hi jgu1!

Yes this is something we are wanting to get better at, we tend to make fixes for individual users and not really publish them, our aim is to improve on this for v5. I will look into the fixes and see if i cant get them added for you.

Re: is this fcf efficient in keeping time

Hi Brandon I agree with Martin about multiple interrupts, plus you should keep the interrupts workload to a minimum, though I havent always adhered this this, but can cause timing problems for the reason that Martin pointed out i.e. the interrupts are disabled on entry to interrupt routine and are o...

Re: V5 Upgrade ?

Of course I'm joking. I really hope you like what we've done with it. We have made a lot of changes to the way this product is ordered and to tell you the truth I am nervous. This is why we are releasing it quietly. We will make more of a fuss about it in the next few days. (And please don't tell an...

Re: V5 Upgrade ?

Hi jorgen, I personally prefer on the outside, as you can see all the calculations without clicking on the component. However you can get V5 to look like V4 default by going into View Menu and selecting Global options. Select Annotations tab, then un-tick ‘Show annotations’ and select ‘Show text ins...

Re: Ver. 5 Help need!

How do I use Constant in the calulationbox. I can´t find anything concerning this in the help meny (Is constant is equal to a fixed value?) :?: Yes a constant like in maths is a fixed value. So when you add a new constant, you need to name the constant and just enter the value you want the constant...

Re: Fixes for verison 5

Hi Jorgen.

I believe that is on the MM to do list, as I have mentioned this subject on the beta testing forum.

As soon as a thread is created for V5 unofficial fixes then any fixes past or future will be added to that thread, along with a description of the fix.

Re: BOOL!

Hi Jorgen A very simple Boolean function that is executed by FlowCode is the "Decision". You know that in a FC Decision is checked if a concrette variable fulfils a condition, for example "If switch = 1?" Here the variable under test is the "switch". That is also a Bool...

Re: Help us choose the next Flowcode Video subject

A suggestion for another Flowcode Video subject is interfacing C code into Flowcode. Not a whole C course, but just enough to be able to get basic project working which require the use of C code. E.g from one of my posts I have got: FCV_DELAY_MS=Delay_Val[FCV_ADC_VAL]; So it could be explained about...

Hi Jorgen, This error was first reported here: http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=10105&p=31765&#p31758 To keep all errors together, so don't have to keep searching, I posted fix in this 'Flowcode V5 Issues' thread along with other fixes. I also posted a link t...

Re: Eico 40 pin

Hi. This threw me at first! For the ECIO40, pins C4 and C5 are used for USB comms to enable reprogramming. They are not shown on the chip view for this reason (though they are on the 18F4455 chip view). However, if for some reason you want to program once and never allow reprogramming, I'm told you ...

Re: 12f675 oscon!

Hi jorgen,
osccon register is not used in those target devices.

This is because there is only one fixed internal oscillator speed which runs at 4MHz.
so all you do is select internal RC. Then set the Clock speed in project options to 4000000Hz

Re: Flip flop 50HZ

Hi jgu1,

This might be what your after?

I have used timer0 interrupt to flip bits 0 and 1 at 50Hz. There should be no delay with 1 bit on and the other bit off

Re: 10mS delay using Delay´s!

Hi Just tried your attached program on a pic 16F88 with the standard 19.6608MHz crystal

This is the timing I get on the EB070 Test pod

pod 2ms.jpg

This is the FC5 I used

2ms test.fcf

As you can see from the timing on the pulse it is actually 2 ms ± acceptable error
