Re: dsPIC33EP512GP806 Timer issues - Only TMR1 working

OK, all timers are working now, I've uncommented all of them and used internal clock for all my timers (double checked), so all fine! You can close this one and you should also review include files for other CPUs as I have seen the same on other files... I'm running Flowcode 5.5.2.1 Hope this helps ...

Re: dspic Flowcode string bug when adding string variables

OK, issue fixed, a bit dodgy fix, but works fine! I have edited with an Hex Editor the file Flowcode5_PIC_16bit.exe under C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode(dsPIC)\v5 I have found the 2x string FCI_TMP_STR ocurrences and changed it to len40 instead of len20. Saved the EXE and voilá it works now!!!! Guy...

Re: Flowcode 6.1.0.0 + Arduino Uno R3 + I2C = RESOLVED

OK, working now, was the pull up resistors. Well, I am so used to using SPI on dsPIC and never actually used I2C before :-) Anyway guys, I bought a nice kit from Seed (Grove Starter Kit for Arduino) and it's really neat for my 9 year old. He's learning Flowcode now and loves the simplicity of it. ht...

Flowcode 6.1.0.0 + Arduino Uno R3 + I2C = RESOLVED

Hi there Ben et al, Simples, Flowcode 6.1.0.0 with Arduino Uno R3. It programs directly perfectly well (I love this new feature = especially fr my son trying the Arduino currently = no need to install any Arduino software! = GREAT!) . I can turn on and off LEDs, all looks fine. Even software SPI see...

Re: PIC18F25Q10 and PIC18F27K42 - No Timers work

Thanks Ben, Don't spend any more time on this as we are have decided not to use any of these 2 MCUs (and also PIC16F15325 which we were having an interrupt problem as well with) and will be replacing them with PIC18F26K40 which seems to compile well and will simply redesign all our boards to use thi...

Re: Stop Bluetooth

Hi Jan, From my experience with HC-06 cheap bluetooth devices... I have included in my cirucit a 3.3V LDO with enable pin to turn on an off the bluetooth device at will (with an MCU pin - easy), this has become VERY handy when dealing with error control and proper init routines... I can control when...

Re: dsPIC33EP256GP502 Resets if CAN Bus Component is Used

Ben, I've tried 128KB version of this chip dsPIC33EP128GP502 and it does not reset when CAN SendBuffer() function is called, need to do more testing, but seems for now that this MCU works with Flowcode. 128KB of ROM is more than enough for our program, so if all goes well then we will forget about 2...

Re: dsPIC33EP256GP502 Resets if CAN Bus Component is Used

Thanks Ben, I understand and had checked the errata for these chips and couldn't find anything relevant... If you want, I can send you some of these 256KB MCUs, just in case if you needed them, we use the 28-pin SSOP ones, let us know. Cheers again and keep up the great work! R PS: I am not a forum ...

Re: PIC32MZ Flowcode Hardware Debugging - Flowkit?

Thanks Ben,

Fantastic! That's very clear now and the Flowkit v2 is what I need ;-) In Circuit Debugging from Flowcode, that's amazing!!

Cheers!

Re: PIC32MZ + WS2812 Not Working

Forgot to mention Ben, the more LEDs are added and Refreshed(), the bigger the delta timing is on hardware per LED. BTW - My PIC32MZ is running at 198MHz, not 200MHz as the Crystal is 12MHz and the PIC32 calculator gave me 198MHz for the different options, this is needed for the USB interface (Data ...

Re: PIC32MZ + WS2812 Not Working

Thanks Ben for this, I've just checked it and the same problem happens. My test FC program is attached. When refreshing 2 LEDs, the LEDs display the right colour and the timing for each LED is ~33us 2_LEDS.png When refreshing a 3rd LED, the timings change a bit and the LEDs don't responde any more (...

Re: PIC32MZ + WS2812 Not Working

Hi Ben, Great, it works now as expected ;-) I have tried 6 concurrent Refresh() updates and all LEDs work perfectly well. I'm using interrupt routine for this. Only thing to note for anyone else trying this out... the LEDs are WS2812B, timings on data Sheet should be 50us, 0.35us, 0.9us, 0.9us and 0...

Re: PIC32MZ + WS2812 Not Working

Thanks Ben, We are using bidirectional level shifters (TI ones). I have tried this morning something, I have removed one of the level shifter chips and now we have only the MCU pin out and can still see the corruption in the stream. Very interesting this MIPS feature about the "core timer"...

Re: PIC32MZ + WS2812 Not Working

Hi Ben, FAN-TAS-TIC, It works like a charm!!! I am updating 18x LEDS on our test program without any problem at all! I will give it a try on our main program where I have timers, etc and get back to you with results, but feels as the solution is super solid as the signal output is clean and doesn't ...

Re: PIC32MZ + WS2812 Not Working

Hi Ben, I would say you have fixed this one... I've tried on our main program with at least 2 timers running with great success, we are going to run extra code this week so we will know better for sure. However to say Brightness() control doesn't work, but we have managed to incorporate this in our ...

Re: PIC32MZ + WS2812 Not Working

FAN-TAS-TIC!!! Thanks Ben! Only thing to note is that the following code doesn't seem to change the brightness of the LEDs on the output. Brigthness stays always at 1. Strange... LED_Brigthness.jpg For now we are using a custom routine to change the brightness against the colour, easy to do. Regards...

Re: Pic32MZ2048EFG100 UART is 4 times to slow

Hi Ben et al, Just to say that I obviously have run into this problem as well. We have not tried Software UART option (in case this works for some reason) as we need the RXINT though. Our MCU FYI is PIC32MZ1024EFE100 The only solution at the moment is to modify the Flowcode settings to match the rea...
