Autogenerate missing variables.

Would it be possible if copying calculation boxes or components from one flowchart to another for variables not yet created, to be created on the new flowchart. Perhaps there is be a pop-up stating create missing variable’s Yes/No I have noticed with current Flowcode, if coping a calculation box wit...

Multitasking on a PIC18: Proof Of Concept

Hi everyone, After a week of programming we (dridri and myself) are proud to show you a proof of concept (P.O.C.) of multithreading, a.k.a. multitasking on a PIC18F2455. It is programmed in C, with a some ASM lines. We worked with the mikroC IDE and it's debugger. The debugger is really an awesome t...

Comments and Strings

Would it be possible to 'comment' out an icon? As it is now I have to delete the icon(calculation, io, if) to test what if's. In other languages commenting is a common feature. Strings - As a newbie I am finding that working with strings can be painful when the received data(RS232) contain bytes wit...

Moving average

Please find some more details of this simple program for the moving average of a variable. The advantages are: - no additional memory used (EEPROM or array) - no overflow due to lack of summing data See the Flowcode attached to the previous message. Kind regards Jan Lichtenbelt Remark november 10, 2...

Re: Ver. 5 Help need!

How do I use Constant in the calulationbox. I can´t find anything concerning this in the help meny (Is constant is equal to a fixed value?) :?: Yes a constant like in maths is a fixed value. So when you add a new constant, you need to name the constant and just enter the value you want the constant...

Illegal redefinition of symbol: MX_UART_RTS_PORT

This is cause by a bug in the FC5_PIC_RS232.c file. If 64bit windows go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode\v5\Components or If 32bit windows go to C:\Program Files\Flowcode\v5\Components Make a copy of FC5_PIC_RS232.c then replace original with attached file. Re: Open chart >10K: FC terminates without error

I have managed to circumvent the problem by doing a clean install of FCv5. I am a registry virgin but after looking through some regshots it would seem uninstalling FCv4 (whilst FCv5 is installed) removes something from the registry that FCv5 requires. This may be just on my system but you may want ...

Re: FLOWCODE flow chart icon labels

you'll find 5,040,000 examples of the way a typical flowchart looks. I think every one of them has the text in the icon. Or is it possible for me to edit the icons on my machine? Cheers Yes that is true but to see all the text inside an icon especially with long variable names and calculatio...

Re: im retarded in math

Hi Square roots can be calculated by successive approximations using this formula. SR = 1/2((x/y)+y) SR = Square Root x= the number whose root is requires y = your first guess at the root. calculate as above then use the value returned as SR to replace y and calculate again keep doing this until you...

Sine & Cosine Calculator

Flowcode for 8bit pics does not have a function for calculating sines and cosines. This means the use of either a 16bit device, or calculating the value by some method. This is one of several ways of doing it. This only needs the basic float calculation functions. (fmul, fdiv, fadd, fsub) It is quit...

Re: Memory usage by macro variables

Benj, Jonny, Thanks for both your inputs. My feeling with Flowcode 5 is that I am reaping the benefits mostly from improvement of current functionality and the addition of further functions/peripherals is becoming more and more esoteric. Hence, continuing to work on improved functionality of existin...

Re: gLCD and changing fore andf background colours

Dear all, I have now fixed this problem and it appears that it affects other gLCDs too. In the macro SetBackColor(char red, char green, char blue), you will need to add the following line of code: %a_UART_Send('K'); // Send command for setting background colour This will tell the LCD that the next 2...

Change sequence input parameters of a macro

A suggestion for an improvement of Flowcode 5 If you want to change the sequence of the input paramaters of a macro, you have now to copy the whole content of the macro to a temporary maco. This makes possible the deletion of some or all input parameters. Introduce the right sequence of paramteres. ...
