Re: adding a programmer

Hello, Yes this should be possible. You will have to change the programmer settings in the Chip -> Compiler options to call the command line programming tool for your hardware. If there is no command line programmer available then you will have to take the hex file produced by Flowcode and manually ...

Re: adding a programmer

I use Easypic5 from MikroElectronica

I have added at programmer location: C:\Program Files\Mikroelektronika\PICFLASH-mikroICD\PICFLASH.exe
with Parameter: -f"%f.hex"

I use the older picflash, i think it should probably work also with the newer Mikroprog suite.

Hope this helps.

Re: display and save number

Yes I have noticed that. I just made a Lottery Number Generator. That does the same thing. Currently to get round the non randomness at switch on, I have included a switch that randomly generates 6 numbers, whist held down. So holding switch down for different lengths of time will even a few ms diff...

Re: battery meter

Hi, siliconchip. You will need to bear in mind that if you Want to read 6V then the supply to chip (VDD) must also be 6V. If you are using 5Vto supply the chip then you must use a potential divider to tap off from the voltage to be measured. E.g how I would do it (prob not the best way!) is 1st dete...

Re: USING ADC WITH 16F88

Hi siliconchip, What about looking here: http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7699&p=20326 I posted A voltmeter that reads 0 - 15.00V (to two decimal places.) It can be adapted for different scales. E.g remove *3 to read 0 - 5.00V You can easily adapt it to read 0 to...

Re: switch debounce

just to clarify if i use component macro for the switch and click on read state this will add my desired debounce time from the ext properties of the switch in my compiled code Yes that is correct. The ReadState is accessed, then the next component will not be accessed until double the entered debo...

Re: ds1820 temp sensor

In the datasheet I have seen that the value we read has a relation with temperature is following: Temp = Data/2 So like for 35 Data temp should be 17.5 I have divided the data by 2 to get integer part of temperature. Decimal point can get by remainder. (Data mod 2)=1 so multiply by 10 will produce 1...

Re: lcd screen flicker

Can you please try this one?
Edit: I have deleted the clear display function in the loop and increased delay to 250ms. Added two space after "%" so that it is now "% " in the code which removes any unwanted character if 100% to 99% or 10% to 9%.

Re: unused ports

Hello, On power up all pins default to input pins to ensure no damage can occur should there be a short etc between pins. Flowcode leaves the pins in this state for the user to do what they want with them. There is not really any reason to connect or to control unused pins on your device, they can e...

Re: 3 switches 1 reset

Odd. I can't get mine to play up. :? Just in case I have missed something.I have altered Flowchart to make it impossible for more than 1 LED to be on. Can you try this one please. No debouncing is required since as soon as any of the on switches are detected, all switches except reset are locked out...

It is your program :-) I just opened "Build"->"Compiler Options"->TAB "Linker / Assembler" and added "-rb 0x1000 " (without the quotes) at the start of the parameters before "-ld". Then choose "Build"->"Compile to HEX" (or use the...

Re: pic16f to pic18f

Hi siliconchip, I'm not an expert on this but Your correct when you say about timer0 can be 8 or 16bit modes. You need to use tmr0l if reading from timer0 low byte whether in 8 bit or 16bit mode. If bit 6 of t0con is set (1 via C code box) then timer0 is in 8 bit mode. This means that interrupt will...

Re: pic16f to pic18f

Hi siliconchip, Your welcome. So long as information helps you thats the main objective. I have just downloaded your Flowchart, and I have noticed it won't work on hardware. Reason is your timer0 interrupt is still on the default clock source from T0CKI instead of internal clock which is what it sho...

Re: 2 x16 lcd

Here is an improved version. It has the advantage of the scroll message can be any length within reason. In this one I have limit the total scroll length to 50 Characters. If you want it longer or shorter then you will need to edit total arrays for both. ScrollString and FixedScrollString Variables....

Hi Bob, This was a tough one. I have modified flowchart so you can scroll one or more custom characters. Re: high/low voltage detect

One thing I notice right away: you are not reading the bit in the loop, just once at the start of your code.

To read the bit in the loop, move

Code: Select all

FCV_TRIPPED = pir2.HLVDIF;

to a C code block inside the loop.

I implemented the bubble sort that I posted a link to.
Hopefully it's working the way you want it to.

Hint If you never want a repeated random number, e.g 4,6, & 4 then check out my Lottery generator:

Hi The C course can be found here. Though its currently not available as its being revised, due out soon http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/eblockscourseware.php also is c ++ easier to learn than C ? Re: counter

Hi siliconchip, Simulation and hardware are two different things. In the simulation you will need to connect the cathodes to the ports as you have no choice in that. With hardware you use transistors because all the anodes of a segment are on at the same time because they are in parallel. E.g suppos...

Re: HC-06 Bluetooth with PIC16F88 need help

Hello,

Have you tried doing some basic tests on the 16F88. For example a 1 second LED flash test and an output BAUD rate test to check the device is running and at the right frequency?
