MIAC based temperature controller

Hello, I am making this thread for Dylan Balloo mainly who is actually a University student doing a course in Electronic and Communication Engineering and planning to do his final year project using the MIAC as micro controller. In fact his project is a temperature based fire alarm. The scenario acco...

Re: MIAC based temperature controller

Hello, I haven't seen the videos of MiAC expansion modules earlier..I should see before posting. I can tell you now clearly what to do.. You have MIAC.. so you can simply buy following.. 1. Upgrade Flowcode to FCV5 2. MIAC - Serial expansion module MI8447 (you don't need Advanced expansion module) (...

Re: RTC for MIAC(Part two)

Sorry for confusing you again. Can you please tell me where you running your slave PIC and RTC module from..I mean where it gets power from? If it's getting it's power from MIAC +V terminal in that case you will need 4 connections to slave. 2 are L& H, 1 is common GND (0V) and other is +V for sl...

Re: MIAC Expansion modules.

Hi thushara, If you are using a switch on an input, and when switch is open you want to read 0, then a pull down resistor (connected to i/p & 0V) must be connected to that and every other single input before power is applied. What value pull-up/pull-down resistor are you using? Is it possible to...

Re: Miac analogue input problem

Hi Dave, You need to add the Miac component to your control panel, then use the Miac components for reading ADC channels. You don't use standard ADC components (if you do then the result will always be 0), so they will require deleting from your panel. Best advice is to read the Miac programming ope...

Re: MIAC - Advanced expansion module

Hi Miac and expansion information is available here http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/miac.php The advancesd module connects to the MIAC by the CAN BUS (i.e 2 wire twisted pair), but flowcode makes it totally transparent so you dont need to understand CAN protocols. All taken care of by FC. But it can...

Re: MIAC - Advanced expansion module

Hi Bill

Yes, its on the PCB inside the unit.
Carefully unclip the board from the back of the case. Watch the wires to the LED on the front they are quite short, its best to push the led back out of its clip.
Ive used it to update the firmware on them.

Re: Limited Code Size

Take a look at the licence information for information on the different versions. If you want a list of the components included in the professional pack, see the pack information. All the information is available in the PDF data sheet downloadable from the main flowcode page as well.

Hi Nazaire, Goto agree with you about this. So I have attached an unofficial modified file to replace your existing MIAC.fcdx file Goto C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\FCD\PIC (if 64bit windows) or C:\Program Files\Flowcode 6\FCD\PIC (if 32bit windows) Back up original MIAC.fcdx then replace with ...

Working RC5/RC6 transmission of 1 byte, 3 integers

P1060070_t.jpg On request here 2 Flowcodes for the transmission of 1 byte and 3 integers by means of RC5/RC6 protocol. The advantage is that each bit has its own synchronisation transition (0->1 or 1->0). That makes it easier compared to RS232. The choice of 1 byte and 3 integers is due to an appli...

Re: MIAC ANALOGUE INPUT - HELP

Your welcome.

Just need to remember that to use the analogue component you don't need to add any analogue inputs as they are already built within the Miac component.
so all you need to do is:

Re: Problems with analog simulation using arduino mega 2560

This problem occurs with the arduino1280 , arduino mega 2560 adk, and arduino mega 2560 from the ones i have checked... A simple way to work around this for now is to select the chips from the AVR atmega list and not the arduino list.

Hi Rudi,

My file is an updated version of the 6.0.7.0 one, so it is newer and you need to replace the 6.0.7.0 one with my file to fix the baud rate issue.

Best regards,
