Re: BMP085 barometric pressure/temperature sensor.

Hi Speedy2k,

To save you time, here is a present for you :D merry x-mas
After calling macro get_pressure do the following math:

Code: Select all

pressure = P * 0.01 //pressure in mbar

Fast inverse of square root

Hello MM, As you know sometimes microcontrollers struggle with computation intensive functions, and you want to optimize the code to make life easier for them. So you probably remember the famous hack from Quake ||| to compute the inverse square root of x, if not, here is a remainder how it looks: f...

Re: Setting Interrupt to 512Hz

Thank You Enamul, You are as always very helpful! :) So basically the formula I derived from your post is: tmr0=(2^bit_count)-(system_clock/(prescalar*req_freq*clock_exe_cycle)) It would be nice if flowcode would let to choose the required frequency and do this calc automatically, without too much o...

Replace macro

Hello MM, I don't know if it was suggested before, but I am often missing one function in Flowcode. An additional function to import/export macro it would be very handy to have a replace macro. Lets say I have one Flowcode project, and I am debugging some macros in it, testing and etc. In the other ...

Re: ICD on EB185 ARM board not working

So I worked out, what was causing this problem...the problem was, that the switch over from PROG to ICD was causing some issues. Now I have connected two separate USB cables to different USB ports, and the switch is always left on ICD, so as soon the program is downloaded to the chip it starts worki...

Re: I2C Compass GY-271

Hi, One thing you should check is the pull-up resistors, that should be 47k as far as as I remember for communication speeds up to 400kHz. Otherwise system will not work. Edit: also sometimes if you are not using external interrupts, you need to do polling for reading the data. I'm also attaching un...

Re: User interface!

Hi Jonny, additionally I would say I preferred the way v5 components were modified, with a new window opening to configure external properties. Everything was clearly seen. Now all those properties are on the side property window together with position and other...and they don't stand out, now you h...

Re: Modbus

Hello Gent,

If we started talking industrial protocols then why not add CANopen, Profinet, ethernetCAT. They are all like MODBUS a more advanced industrial control protocols which need a high degree of coms knowlage by using CAN, ETHERNET or RS485 interfaces.

Re: Modbus

Hi Benj, I hope you will have time to do CANopen as well. If you want I can send you some C code and documentation regarding this. Recently I had to do a lot of studying on CANopen to control BLDC servos, but due to lack of time I couldn't accomplish this task, as it is pretty tricky, >300 pages of ...

Re: Modbus

Hi Benj, I received my MPU6050 today as well :D I want to upgrade my ITG3200 + BMA180 + RM3000F which was an amazing combo! I was looking for MPU6000 breakout which is set for SPI protocol, and allows for higher sample rate. As far as CANopen goes, I was aiming for servo motors. There are plenty of ...

Hi Benj, I have made a board with GPS, BMP085 pressure sensor, BMA180 acc, ITG3200 gyro, RM3000F mag. It working wonderful, at 100Hz.
