Re: mLoader/PPP won't recognise 18F4523, sees an 18F4520

Hi Continuity is fine. Circuit is not disturbed other than to insert chip and as it works with other chips in.... +5v is derived via 7805 which has hefty tank and smoothing on input, and I have decoupling as close to the chip as possible. As it is on the underside I'm not quite sure of it's value bu...

Re: FC v6.1.2 on win8.1 can't compile to chip

Hi Thanks for your reply. I'm running Norton with latest signatures and when the problem first arose I disabled AV completely but it made no difference. I also whitelisted FC folder for good measure (but...... can't remember if I did this before or after the reboots that follow below). Hunting aroun...

Re: fc_licensing.exe Antivirus warnings

Hi

I have Norton installed and a day or so ago during a routine scan it decided that mLoader was a threat and quarantined it. From what I can gather this was based on low community usage. Easy to restore and add to whitelist.

Re: Using the ESP8266 examples

Hi Kersing They are indeed, sorry for the confusion. I am very pleased to say that I am able to change the expected response and the circuit ran without issue first time (and on a number of repeats too). I set in component properties:- ESP_CON_TO_SSID_CONFIRM = WIFI CONNECTED ESP_CLIENT_CONNECTED = ...

Re: Load Cell HX711

Hi Pete / George First off, thanks for posts on this subject. I have found them to be very helpful. I recently obtained one of the HX711 modules from eBay so armed with your posts and a lot of gung-ho I set about experimenting. I see that the modules come in a variety of flavours, mine is the XFW-HX...

Re: Help with RC project

Hi First off I admit to having no RC experience so apologies in advance if this is idiotic. My understanding is that modern receivers operate using PPM (pulse position modulation) per channel (?). If so you could perhaps have the microcontroller monitoring this stream and adjusting its PWM outputs a...

Re: Help with RC project

Hi Further to my previous post, I have spoken with a colleague whom was part of a team that created a "drone" as part of a University project. His project had specific needs and he looked into all aspects of control and communication. The project used Arduino technology and he confirms tha...

Re: Help with RC project

Ted Whilst I know this doesn't quite fall within the scope of Flowcode / uC programming it may still be of help. My friend crashed his quadcopter. Nothing too expensive, maybe around £40 to buy, but it did carry a WiFi camera that linked to his tablet. His kids are more upset about the loss of a toy...

Re: WebServer - Not all Strings Update.

Hi Back in v5 I needed to "serve" around 160 variables but in the forums I was told that I could only have four. So always trying to "break things" I created four arrays and served four strings each with 40 csv. Worked fine for me then (project still running and I still use that ...

Re: WebServer - Not all Strings Update.

Hi The great thing about Flowcode is the forums. People always try and help. If you get stuck please post the code you have and I'm pretty sure someone will help. There are some help / examples available to show you how to work with arrays / strings etc so please check them out. If I could figure it...

Minor Generic LED bug

Hi I know there are more important bugs than this. When selecting Outputs > LED Template > LED (Generic) The LED is placed on the 2D worksheet with the Label A0 and properties informs it is connected to Port A0. If you change the Port to anything else, say D2, then the properties do show the change ...

Re: Read out on oscilloscope not working ?

Hi

I'm running W8.1 and latest Flowcode and components.

Your program runs fine on my machine, which I know isn't much help to you, so it may just be related to W10?

Re: WebServer - Not all Strings Update.

Hi Claudemir Sorry for delayed reply. My access to forum is either feast or famine, due to work commitments. At present I don't have access to any previous project of mine for reference, and won't until my return, but if you still need help in a week or two I will try. I only have F7 installed on my...

Re: Searching Circular Buffer - Any Advice?

Hi Guys Thanks for responding. Unfortunately I am traveling again and won't be able to actually do much until next month, other than look at examples and figure out best ways. Martin, as you correctly guessed I don't care about any data until I reach my "start" byte, it can all be discarde...

Re: (cheap), Long range module (node to node) RFM95?

Hi I don't know the budget but you may consider products from RF Solutions (https://www.rfsolutions.co.uk/radio-modules-c10/rf-telemetry-module-sil-package-868mhz-regulated-p427). I have been using their Gamma modules for years. Many options available from simple input / output to full modem. Depend...

Re: Disappearing Window

Hi Not long after I posted I discovered that upgrade whilst on the Matrix site. Since downloading it I haven't seen the issue return but as it is intermittent I was going to wait a day before updating my post. I didn't get it every session but I would get it every day. It also helped a little bit wi...

Re: Problems reading the DHT11 sensor

Hi I agree with Martin (and I only know of that desert thanks to a recent rerun of a Top Gear Special :D ). If you set your "loop while" value to something more reasonable instead of "0", like perhaps your actual target value then it will escape. Also, you are running at 20Mhz. I...

Re: Ghost issue

Hi Tried FCv8 Ghost using a 16LF1939 running a very basic Flash test. Compiled to chip with no issues. Enabled ICD/ICT and recompiled. Once complete the code immediately started running on the chip (LED flashing). I noticed that although enabling them, ICD/ICT was now disabled in Flowcode. I may hav...

Re: Advice for programming the PIC16f877A Microcontroller

Hi Trying to understand your functionality. I don't have v4 installed on this machine but your Flowchart opens in v5 and I have fond memories of such. From what I gather you want a clock that will decrement each second and this will be displayed on your 7-Segment LED displays (note your Flowchart on...

Re: Advice for programming the PIC16f877A Microcontroller

Hi When a mechanical switch closes it does not "cleanly" make a connection. It will make/break/make a few times before setling into the desired switch state. This is called switch bounce and typically last for up to a few tens of mS. For a light switch on your wall (as an example) you don'...

Interrupt Simulation - Very Impressed

Hi

Just to say thanks for creating IOC when simulating.

I've only tried interrupting using a Switch component but the fact it now simulates is much appreciated :)

Re: Interrupt Simulation - Very Impressed

Hi

I get by with my basic needs when using the RS232 component by having the HI Injector talk to the UART component, using Key Mapping to trigger the RXINT0 routine.

It allows me to find a lot of my mistakes, so to me it is a LOT of help :)
