Re: mLoader/PPP won't recognise 18F4523, sees an 18F4520

Hi, This may very well be the case, some of the chip IDs are similar, i dont have the 18F4523 here to test it sadly so i cant confirm it, but we have had problems in the past with Microchip giving chips the same ID. Although this is usually cross-family so its unlikely. I would probably have to get ...

Re: mLoader/PPP won't recognise 18F4523, sees an 18F4520

Have you checked the WIKI for help with the Webserver component? Regarding the device recognition, the device ID for the 18F4523 is (binary mode): 0001 0000 1001 RRRR, where RRRR is a revision code. For the 18F4520 it is: 0001 0000 100R RRRR, where R RRRR is a revision code. The first 11 bits are th...

Re: mLoader/PPP won't recognise 18F4523, sees an 18F4520

Hello,

I wonder if it could be config settings causing your problems as there are a lot more settings for a 18F compared to the 16F devices you have working. Would it be possible to attach your program or a screen shot of the config settings.

Re: mLoader/PPP won't recognise 18F4523, sees an 18F4520

Hello, Your right your config settings look fine. Have you continuity tested your board to make sure there are no shorts or breaks in the signals from the chip to the ports? I suppose this would cause the 16F devices to fail too? Hmm, sounds like a weird one. What value of capacitance do you have ac...

Re: FC v6.1.2 on win8.1 can't compile to chip

Hi, I would suggest you try Flowcode in "safe mode", this could help determine if some other piece of software is interfering: Win 8: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-safe-mode Are you using an Antivirus program which may be blocking parts of Flowcode? ...

Re: Simplest programm does not work- UART PIC

Your welcome. I would say the problem is the accuracy of UART at the required baud rate. I have just checked with an old version of flowcode (V4) and that shows accuracy of 1.36% That along with capacitance of leads plus the baud rate limitation of UART to RS232 could be why you are facing these iss...

Re: Using the ESP8266 examples

Hi Ben’s the author of this component, but he’s not in the office at the moment, so to help you I’ve exported the ClientConnect() macro. You can use this to create your own version, for which you will just need to import it into your project and then change the calls to SendString() and CheckForData...

Re: Using the ESP8266 examples

Could you try attached component where you are able to change the response to expect in the properties? (Set the responses your firmware provides in the items below ESP Responses)

Re: do we need an extra license on SurfTabs like WINTRON

Hi Rudi,

Our policy is you can install a single-user version of Flowcode on 2 computers as long as it's for your own use, so what you suggest is ok.

Regards,
Steve.

My working ESP8266 weather forecast example..

I've made a weather forecast example with the Flowcode ESP8266 (ESP) Wifi component. :D This shows the forecast for the next 10 days on a 4*20 LCD display for my hometown. Before I write a thing about the actual file, I need to point to certain sources on which I found the information to get this fi...

Re: Water level tank

What I did with my level detector (probably over-kill but wanted to make sure) is one probe is connected to an output pin (E.g B0) instead of +5V, the other probe to a 1Meg pull-down resistor and ADC. Every second: Output B0 high Delay 2ms Read ADC (value determined by water level). Output B0 low 2m...

Re: Load Cell HX711

Hi George, Attached is a macro is created in fc6, it will also work in fc7. It reads 24 bits of data from the hx711 chip....the project I used this for was a 4 load cell scale connected in a Wheatstone bridge config. Import the macro into your project and call it as a routine. Note - given the sensi...

ok... had a look at your project.... when I created the macro, I left all of the config options disabled  - you will need to enable the icons in the red circle and then it should work...the data sheet will give you a good insight as to the config options vs function let me know how you go best...

Re: There is any way to achieve a higher ADC resolution?

Hi Joe,

This blog post might help to allow you to create the SPI commands to talk to the module.

Re: Changing size of LCD

There are additional LCD components available. As listing all available components would clutter the user interface only a subset of the components is visible by default. You can use the 'Search' option in components toolbox to open the component search window. Use 'LCD' for the search filter to get...

Re: Interrupt on Change with 24FV16KA302

Hello, First thing you can try is reading the port in question before enabling the interrupt. That might have an effect. Interrupts can be a bit more picky with voltage required to trigger the interrupt, it's something we have seen before on older PIC devices. You might need to use some sort of tran...

Re: How to use Digole SPI Text-LCD Display Adapter

Hi Niro, SPI is quite nice to use once you get used to it. There is a blog here which should help to familiarise yourself with how SPI works and how to implement your own protocol to communicate with any SPI device. http://www.matrixtsl.com/blog/simplified-communications-i%c2%b2c-and-spi/ Let us kno...
