Re: Help for DS1820- calculating minus temperature

Hi maharadga,
I posted a flowchart here which displays temperatures below zero as well as above.
It's for the DS18B20.
You will be able to see how I implemented it so you can do the same for your flowchart.

Re: Error with ADC on 7 segm

I have modified your flowchart so it might work a bit better for you?

Re: How can I edit inherited macros in new component?

Hello, We have recently done a lot with the component creation system to vastly simplify it. This v7 update is currently pending and should be available soon. Once we have released this we can start updating the documentation and creating some much more user friendly examples. For now here is the EB...

Re: How can I edit inherited macros in new component?

Hi, Looks like you are making good progress. Have a close look at how you have edited the .Expansion in Ev_AddVar In the original code each item added is followed by .Expansion = .Expansion + ",\n" the last item is followed by .Expansion = .Expansion + "\n};\n" Looks like you hav...

Re: DS3231 not display correct year

Hello,

The year can only be stored as a two digit number 00 to 99 on the DS3231 device, maybe this is the cause of the issue?

So at the moment you would store the number as 17 and then when printing out the year you could add the century.

"20" + ToString(Year)

Re: DS3231 not display correct year

Hi,
A Day (of the week) counter will just increment each day.
So if you set it to 1 on a Monday, it will read as 2 the following day, then 1 again next Monday.
It will not work out the day of the week for any given date.

Re: Something strange with I2C and AT24C32

Hi, You have an "easy to do" error in your read macro. You have a data_Read parameter, but this cannot be used to return the read value. You need to edit your read macro and give it a return type "byte", and then read the value from the I2c into .Return (Or read the data byte int...

Re: Question about PIC18F26K22 and PWM

Hello, The only thing I have spotted is that in your configuration settings you have the Primary Clock Enable set to Disabled. Maybe this should be enabled. Everything else seems to look ok. Are you connecting the MCLR pin to VCC using say a 10K -100K resistor? I would probably advise the one second...

Re: PIC18F2520 problem with OSCCON register

Hello,

That all looks correct to me. Have you tried the 1 second flash test to try and see what speed your actually running at?

Re: Error with PIC16F877A

Hello, It looks like your program for the 16F877A should be ok. Have you checked that your port B connections to the LCD are correct on the hardware? A quick multimeter connectivity test should confirm if the pins are all connected correctly with no shorts or breaks. Also worth doing a 1 second flas...

Re: Atmega16_MCP4922 problem

Hello, I connect PIC MOSI with MOSI on MCP4922. MOSI should go to MOSI and MISO should go to MISO. MOSI = Master Out (SDO) Slave In (SDI) MISO = Master In (SDI) Slave Out (SDO) So the cross connection is done for you using the MOSI / MISO naming convention. Looks like you are very close to a solutio...

Re: Interrupt on port B in PIC16F88 nor work

Hi maharadga , Hardware not working has nothing to do with portB interrupts. The keypad works by sending a brief pulse into 1 column at a time, then if a pulse can be detected on a row e.g present on row 1,only if column 1 is pulsed then the key 1 must have been pressed. The issue with your flowchar...

Re: Interrupt on port B in PIC16F88 nor work

Attached is an improvement on the previous one. With this version everything added to main will be ignored to operate keypad and solenoid if correct code is entered. For example you can add a 300 second delay component, it will halt main for 300 seconds, but solenoid will still work before 300 secon...

Re: Interrupt on port B in PIC16F88 nor work

Hi maharadga, I have modified your flowchart to work with circular buffer. Rather than within PORT IOC, its just as effective being within a timer interrupt as keypad constantly read 61 times a second! I have also realised if wrong code entered, then you may not be able to enter correct code straigh...

Re: Interrupt on port B in PIC16F88 nor work

Hi maharadga, Your welcome. By the way, I have noticed that the same program /I do not mean this, but in principle/ compiled in version 5 takes up much less space than in version 7 or 8. What is the reason? For 8 bit microcontrollers, the compiler was changed from BoostC to XC8 from Flowcode version...
