Re: 3 Axis Stepper Control

Hi S.K.S. You can use IRLZ44 instead of your IRFZ44. IRLZ44 is an logic level gate drive, this means that you don`t need anymore other component to drive the FET. Output pic will drive de FET directly, connecting the gate directly to the out pin of the pic. Here or here you can see some applications...

Re: 3 Axis Stepper Control

I recently completed that project. is a standard controller and driver for stepper motors, based on logic gates, connected to the parallel port of the computer. With that type of controller-driver you can use any soft you have including EMC2, MACH3, KCam etc (all software that use parallel port). I d...

Re: 3 Axis Stepper Control

Hi Sire! Fist of all I`m not the designer for that project. I only executed that project following the schematic. As I wrote above, only for testing I was simulate the parallel signals with pic. I do not intend to use that controller in combination with a pic or something... I post that schematic fo...

Re: 3 Axis Stepper Control

The MOSFET is still Hot enough at 15V, i am planning to change the MOSFET. Do you have a chopper or a power resistor to limit the current to the motor? Anytime a power supply for the stepper motor is used that is greater than the rated voltage of the motor, current limiting is required. The coil re...

Re: 3 Axis Stepper Control

You have right, in practice, we use smaller resistor, like you said, at the limit of the hot the motors... For example, my motors the required resistors are 10 ohms, but I put only 4 ohms and all motors are only slightly warm.. I reduced the resistor until I was satisfied with the torque of the moto...

Re: Basic 8 Channel RC5 Infrared Remote Control

Hi Jorgen, http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/download/file.php?id=6587 "In this picture is shown the shape of the complete RC5 packet, ready for transmission" As you can see bit0-bit2 are "potion" of the one packet transmission, for more detailed information, look at the F...

Re: Another voltmeter!

Hi Jorgen!
Thank you for sharing that with us!
I alter your flowchart and I made an simple voltmeter with some custom 7 segment display. It`s awesome :P
I attach the new flowchart and a photo with the voltmeter.

Re: Another voltmeter!

I noticed that was originally with that type of display because I saw the name of the variables. :P The flowchart is a little spread due to the type of display that I used. I forgot to translate in flowchart, "AFISAJ" stand for ANODE, and "CIFRA" for displayed digit. The last swi...

Re: Ibutton ds1990a configuration help.

Problem solved! :D Thank to a colleague of our forum - aura809 -, I understand how Ibutton work! It is quiet simple: First, you have to ensure that is an Ibutton on the bus with "00_scanbus" and if there is an Ibutton, read the serial number byte by byte with the "00_get_IDByte" ...

Re: Ibutton ds1990a configuration help.

The FC its "on the way". I had to change the HW, because the RAM of the 683 was insufficient for that project. I use now 16F88 and 16x2 LCD. I don`t have much time to finished that... Mean while, I will post an example only with the part of the reading of the serial number. You will see, i...

Re: Water level tank

GetByte was the fist attempt...
I found mistake! After ADC, I have to put output in 1 (+5v), not in 0 (ground)...
In that way, after ADC measurement the 2 probe are on the same potential (no flow current between them).
Here are the schematic and the flowchart.
Thank you for the help!

Re: Help with GLCD Toshiba T6963C

I am glad that the package arrived. You can use any voltage up to 30v dc (usually 12V). The marking of the regulators cannot be seen, because I made a mistake when I designed the pcb and mounted them upside down  I can't wait for good news! Thank you!
