Re: Pic18F87K22 - Frequency reader

hi Rod,
Sorry for the delay, not had a lot of time recently.
I have attached a very basic frequency reader which works with 16F1937
Injecting a 1MHz frequency the LCD dispalays 1000399.
I can't test the flowchart created for your device as I don't have any to hand.

Re: Potentiometer animation

Hi Rod, If you add a simulation macro icon to your flowchart and double click the icon. Inside the icon properties click on the "Functions" tab. Here you have some extra none downloadable functions you can use to control the Flowcode simulation. Expand the "Connection" item and i...

Re: Potentiometer animation

Hi Rod, Glad I could help. It might be worth moving all the simulation specific stuff into a separate macro and calling that macro as part of the simulation. Then when you come to download your code to real hardware you can simply disable the call to the macro to remove any additional simulation onl...

Re: Pic18F87K22 - Frequency reader

Hi Rod, As you are using FC V6 that uses BoostC. The C code you have entered was not in the correct format. For example you have got T0CON.TMR0ON = 1; Registers with boost C must be in lower case and bit names in upper case. So you should have t0con.TMR0ON = 1; if conditions should be placed within ...

Re: Flowcode ethernet components for COMM

Hi Rod,

At the moment we do not support internal TCP/IP stacks and only support the external modules you listed.

Re: Flowcode ethernet components for COMM

Hi Rod, The Wiznet modules are expensive and get rather warm, they are now pretty old hat but largely work. I would recommend using the Microchip ENC28J60 modules for wired TCP/IP comms as they are dirt cheap on eBay and work really well. Can I use it instead of the WIZ810MJ whis is the network modu...

Re: PWM Control with led using PIC18F87K22

Hi Rod, I set up 40ms debouncing for inputs configuration on the properties painel for the buttons, I thought I was ok by doing that. Still maybe too quick, perhaps trial and error adjustment when testing on hardware. he inputs for the buttons, I also thought I could inialize before the while loop, ...

Re: PWM Control with led using PIC18F87K22

Hi Rod, In your flowchart, you are only reading switches once! So if any change state, they will not be detected. You need to keep reading switches so they can update variables when they change state. Just move the inputs to within main loop: Input Switches.png The other thing I have noticed is your...

Re: PWM Control with led using PIC18F87K22

Hi Rod. Only changed target device to 16F1937 today as that what chip I'm testing with. Working perfect for me. Had one LED on maximum brightness, while other one on minimum brightness. Both the waveforms and appearance are correct: PWM Waveform LEDs1.png PWM LED1.jpg . So as you can see its not the...

Re: PWM Control with led using PIC18F87K22

That is great news!

I did nothing, the only difference is the ccp2 is set for RC1 instead of RE7.
At least all working now which is the main thing.

looks like the main issue was the PWM cal file.

Re: PIC32 RTCC

Hi Rod,

I've moved your post into a new topic as it's not stricly related to the updates and I would like to keep that topic clean.

It should be quite easy to add the RTCC code for PIC32 so I'll investigate this for you.

Re: Pickit 3 - Easypic Pro and Easypic fusion Boards - Problem

Hi Rod This may not be the news you are looking for, PicKit 3 may not be supported for the easyPC V7 board. The reason for this are as follows; 1. The list of supported device for the PicKit 3 are shown here: PICkit 3 Programmer Application ReadMe.txt The PIC18F87K22 is not on the list. 2. The power...

Re: Component for display FT813

That is a very cool setup. It looks pretty easy to deal with. The problem is it does SO MUCH STUFF it would be weeks worth of programing to build a component. I am guessing it isn't cheap either (~$70 for the display+$90 for the screen layout software).

Very cool though.

Re: Component for display FT813

$90 for the screen layout software The Screen layout software is free and is called ESD from FTDI website I think the general idea is to use the circuit posted on the website and make you own hardware. Then the touch screen is fairly cheap as you use a standard 40pin RGB with restive or capacitive ...

Re: Component for MCP47X6, MCP44XX,45XX,46XX Family,

Hi Rod,

I've added a new component so you will need to do a full database update and then replace the MCP49x2 component on your panel with the new MCP49x1 component.
