Re: simulating a LED matrix

I was going post that in order to simulate a matrix, you will need to assign both anode and cathode of each to individual pins. At present they have VSS or VDD as a fixed reference therefore it can't be done....
But you beet me to it Steve :P

Re: simulating a LED matrix

cantronicx, http://www.josepino.com/microcontroller/how_control_leds Is a good place to look, if creating a LED matrix. This has nothing to do with simulation and your question, but I though worthy of a mention. With LEDs you can select active high and active low, then if connected to i/p will be of...

If your stuck, then ask the questions...no matter how many you need to ask, no one thinks of them as silly (those that do have forgotten what it was like when they first started :P ). If post the 2nd flowchart you modified, I may be able to tell you where the er...

Re: TMR1 asynchronous counter...

Here is my 1st attempt at a no thrills (in case it's not what your after) pulse counter. I have used a 18F4455 device. So you will need to change the target, config settings etc. to suit your own target device. LCD plugged into portD. Reset is portb1. Pulse train is fed into portb0 here's how it wor...

Re: TMR1 asynchronous counter...

Thank you Martin, I compile the last two but I have the 16F877A righ now available and seems not to work even the LCD display. I will buy on Monday an 18F4455 to work with... Thank you again for your help!!! Sakis I will covert all flowchart to 16F877A. There should be no need to buy 18F4455. I hav...

Re: How to transform a 10bit int into two 8bit byte ?

Hi Mathy, Take a look at: http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=3543&p=20774&hilit=high#p20779 It covers both 10bit into two 8bit and From two 8bit into 10bit I don't disagree with anything posted so far, I just thought would add my 2p worth , Martin Edit. Just re...

Re: Aquarium Controller Temp. reading question?

Hi Jordy What are LUT value 10Bit H and L. All Values of 10H when 10bit ADC>309 = 1 10Bit L = temperature x 10 - (10 bit H x256) e.g if temperature = 39.8 deg C then 10 bit low = 398 - (1 * 256) = 142 Why do I have to make 2 lookup tables. Why is it not possible to make one table with 100-400 import...

Re: Aquarium Controller Temp. reading question?

Hi, Martin I have made some changes to your flow code so I can Use it with my own program. And it works :) Thanks again. That's great! Glad you got it working OK. Your program looks very good! I used that flowchart because that's the one you originally posted, so at least I know the config settings...

Re: ADC issues...

Hi Sakis, It will not fit onto a 16F88. If you want to use the float version then you will have to use a chip with more memory. Martin Float takes up a lot of room, especially when involved with calculations. You can get chips with much smaller pin count. (see http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforum...

Re: Matrix products and services

I have to agree with Spanish_dude. I own quiet a few eblocks, MIAC and other Matix products. The speed in which we can develop software and program microcontrollers from scratch is unbelievably fast. Quiet a few of us regularly contribute to the forums because we personally believe the matrix produc...

Re: Need Scalable input-box size + Variable-input sort

Dear FC-Team, The first thing I'd really, really appreciate are scalable input boxes for calculation and c-code input (which of course remember their size when reopening) for the next version!! It really gets confusing if you are having even simple calculations with local variables (long names) and...

Re: Using interrupt for 10 seconds

Hi Stephen. I don't think it will work as well using INT0 If my theory is correct (and I could be wrong of course :P ) INT0 takes priority over timer0 therefore timer0 will temporary halt, thereby inducing timing errors. So I have changed INT0 to PortB IOC. This means i/p is now on RB4. Maybe you co...

Re: Serial code missing or incorrect

Hi Carl,
I have also got a 64bit windows 7 machine and had the same issue.
if you look here:
http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/support ... ?f=8&t=677
That should solve the 64bit win7 issues. It did with me.
Course runs OK on my machine now.

Hope this helps

Re: MX009 - PID Control

Thanks Ben, It will be fine really, just starting with a small motor lol. This is using a motor that is rotating at a contstant speed e.g 1200 RPM, not altering position. So no encoders, just two hall effect devices to measure the RPM speed of motor e.g used on a backward curve fan. The way it works...

RS232 Master and Multiple Slaves

I am creating a RS232 master and multiple RS232 slave arrangement. Reason for this is so you can use microcontrollers which do not have RS232,SPI CAN etc. built in. This project is on going, and I all be adding to it until it's finished. one application I will be working on is to use several 8 pin m...

Re: Unable to compile to Hex

Hi Mario1, Although you have not got servo connected to any ports, the main reason for failure is: You will need to use a microcontroller with 2PWM channels (it uses CCP part of PWM) e.g 16F883, unlike 16F88 which only has one. Same question was asked here: http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/v...

Since you can get random negative numbers, I have also got EEPROM to set to 0 if rojo or azul <0.
