Re: Connection Problems with EB024

Hello Chris,

I have had a look at the module you suggested and it is the incorrect pin out for the EB024 E-block.

This module would be a replacement for the module on the board.

Re: Connection Problems with EB024

Hello,

The standard baud for the module is 9600 bits per second I think.

Edit: Yes 9600bps confirmed :)

Programming a 12F675 with internal MCLR and internal clock

When programming a 12F675 device which has been configured with an internal clock and an internal MCLR the default PPP settings will not work to correctly program the device. To get around this problem go into PPP and click options. From Flowcode --- Chip -> Configure -> Options From PPP itself --- ...

Re: ADC Inputs

Hi Medelec, Ah I wonder how those pins got missed. Ok I will sort for the next revision, thanks for the spot. I have now updated the FCD files for the following devices, 18F2221, 18F2321, 18F2423, 18F2523. Would you mind having a quick check to ensure that the problems have been fixed, I could not s...

Hello,

I have not come across this problem. Seems very odd to me. Maybe you could post up a simple example that demonstrates this problem.

Re: Integrating C with Flowcode

Hello Medelec, Using the C code icon you can declare the variable like this. char FCV_CCPRL; or if you dont want to use the Flowcode formatting on the variable. char ccprl; YOu can either use in the supplementary code window to make the variable global or you can define it inside a function to make ...

Re: gLCD in Macro Issue

Hello, The 16F877 has only around 8 layers of hardware stack. Each jump to a macro or interrupt routine will consume one layer of the stack. This topic details how to implement the BoostC software stack. http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6356&p=19591&hilit=sof...

Re: Is your Project Not working? Help and General Advice

Rule of thumb to follow when working with variables on micros is:

Do I read the variable before I write to the variable?

If you do then you must initialise the variable.

Re: Two pwm outputs with only one CCP

Hi Medelec, Sorry for the delay. You can do this using a custom interrupt. Enable code - Note that the x's should be replaced with values for the registers. ccpr1h = x; //Set capture compare setpoint ccpr1l = x; t1con = x; //Setup timer and start running ccp1con = x; //Configure CCP1 settings st_bit...

Re: ECIO+LCDportA+Analoge+pull-up

Hello, What is happening when you try to use both together? Is the LCD failing or is it the pull ups? I think to enable the pull up resistors you should instead be using this line of code. intcon2 = intcon2 & 0x7F; I try not to use |= and &= statements as earlier versions of BoostC compiled ...

Re: HP299-Flowkit problem with EB006-00-6

Hello Taurus,

I would wire up as in Fig A and then assuming the ICD / PROG switch is in the ICD position then the debugging should work ok.

Have you seen this guide to getting up and running with ICD.

Look Up Tables using Flowcode and Microsoft Excel

Here are 3 example Flowcode files and an excel spreadsheet that show how to create look up tables using Flowcode. The Excel file is used to create the data for the Look up table. Once the data has been created it can be included into Flowcode by using the Edit -> Supplementary code dialogue window. ...

Hello Fredrik,

How often is your transmitter sending out CAN data? Could a simple small delay in between transmissions on PIC1 stop PIC2 from freezing?

Re: Incrementing in EEPROM

Hello,

Here is an example that should allow multiple events to go into the EEPROM.

Edit: The decision should say

EEAddress < 127

instead of

EEAddress < 128

Which may cause an error during runtime as 127 is the last address of the EEPROM in the device you are using.

Re: PIC 18F458 CAN BUS

Hello,

Looking a bit deeper it looks like CAN open is just a way of defining what the information in the message ID and data bytes is assigned to.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANopen

The page above has some good information.

Re: Incrementing in EEPROM

Hello,

Here is a quick example of how you might do the time storage across 3 EEPROM byte variables. Each read back would have to collect all 3 values making the maximum number of time stamps you can hold on this device = 128 / 3 = 42 complete entries.

Re: RS232

Hello Wayne, In the conversion from a 12V system (RS232 - PC) to a 5V system (UART - PIC) the transmission lines get inverted. The MAX232 chip on our EB015 E-block does this automatically for you. If you need a simple way of converting the signals without using a MAX chip then here is a simple circu...
