Re: I2C Woes

Adding an output to turn on the led on Digital 13 seems to show that the call to i2c:start never returns Was that with hardware mode? I don't see anything in software mode that could cause i2c:start to never return Also, do you have any pull-up resistors on SDA and SCL? If not, this might be causin...

Re: RTC Component

Hi Martin,

Next - setting the address to that of my RTC (0x57) gave no result.

Looking at the DS3231 datasheet shouldn't the address be set to 0xD0?

Re: RTC Component

Hi Martin, That's brilliant, many thanks for letting me know. I have applied the fix to the component and hopefully it should work correctly for you now. Simply drop the attached file into your "Flowcode 7/components" directory, restart Flowcode and hopefully the component should now work ...

Re: MAX7219 component

Hi Martin I have downloaded your max7219 component you have been working on. These are the points I would suggest need your consideration: - what will be shown on the dashboard for the final components design/appearance - functional control of data flow for final component 1. Flowcode shows ALL conn...

Re: Problem with DHT22

Hello, I've not experienced the value jumping that you are seeing. It could be a faulty sensor or it could be some noise on the power rails. Maybe add a capacitor across the power rails near the sensor to see if that helps. You could also add your own filtering to the readings to filter out the occa...

Re: SD Card component

Hi Martin, Usually the problem with AVR and SPI hardware channels is the SS pin is left floating. However as you're using digital 10 as the CS pin this shouldn't be an issue. Might be worth using the component debugger and expose full component tree to modify the properties of the SPI CAL component ...

Re: SD Card component

Hi Martin, This is the correct URL for more info on the layout of the time and date info. http://www.maverick-os.dk/FileSystemFormats/FAT16_FileSystem.html#TimeFormat You need to format the time value like this. Time = (Hour << 11) + (Min << 5) + (Sec >> 1) For the Date you would need to format the ...

Re: Output to a pin

Hi,
Please see attached example of copying a property on compiler start.
I think this should do what you want, if I understood the question correctly.

RC5 Remote Controlled Clock

Its been a while since I've had time to do anything with flowcode or contribute to the forums. This is my latest project. Hopefully will now be able to get back to being a regular again. Re: WS2811 Component

Hello!

The WS28xx LED component can be manually parameterized.
Very good component.
One difficulty, interruptions (int, port) cause faulty display.

Re: WS2811 Component

Thanks Martin, I'll look into this problem for you. On some of the LEDs we have here the Red and Green is swapped, I wonder if this is by design and open to be manufactured differently based on supplier or a mistake on the batch of LEDs we bought in? Either way I shhould be able to add the option as...

Re: Arduino Multiple Slave Issue

Hi Martin, In your receiver main you have used the .b variable to hold the result from Check_Status and also the result from ReceiveByte, which just happens to return 0x21 in the case of the "0x20" Slave address in read mode. One solution might be to move the (if .b = 0x21) decision into t...

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your feedback. The detailed description can be shown to the right of the group by right-clicking the icon, then selecting Annotations -> Comments.

Regarding the visual offset bug, I can't seem to replicate this on my PC. I'll investigate further.

Thanks,

Daniel.

Re: Arguments error

Thanks Martin,

I've now found and fixed the problem with the UART::SendNumber and FAT:SendByteToFile functions. I'll push these fix to the updates system in the next hour or so. For some reason the parameters had become arrays instead of singular values.

Re: Return array from macro

Is it possible to 'compile to chip' programs to the Pi without running them? (just compile and upload) This is possible by creating a copy of the rprog.bat file found in the \Compilers\RPI\batch directory. Then edit the copy to remove the "@start ..." line from the "Running" sec...

Apart from the zoom bug, and the icon offset bug, (which I am still working on) I've implemented fixes for all of the problems you have mentioned. They will definitely be in the next release.

Re: Component Creation

The easy fix is that when pins are hidden you take the value of a valid pin property and copy this value to your hidden pins in the property change event macro. To add sections right click the properties window...

Re: Component Creation

do you have any examples of altering the properties at compile time? We usually update properties when one of them changes, by adding code into an Ev_Property event macro This can be done with sim icons, such as this example that reads the CHANNEL property of a cal_uart component and sets the value...
