Re: Radio Clock with DCF77

People @Matrix told me this article already existed, I had already made my own Flow to use DCF77. I didn't really look at Spanish_dude's code, but here is mine. My goal was to implement a "radio controlled" clock in an existing project with as less possible code. My approach is to use the ...

Re: PPPv3 config problems with PIC18F4455

Chuckie, me again.

Suddenly I remembered that the ECIO40 uses a 18F4455, so maybe you can fetch the settings for that chip?
Try and make a simple Flow for the ECIO40 and search for the settings for that chip into the generated C-code??

Re: Change language (where is the language pack)

Thanks JonnyW thats good news.

V6 is in many ways different than V5 and I gave it time to get used to.
But some features are so different that I want the explanation in my own native language.

If there are phrases I can help to translate to dutch, please send them I'm willing to help.

Re: How to use the scope?

Hey Martin, thank you. I looked at the file. It's a bit more complicated than I hoped for. Maybe in the future there could be a settings button in the scope screen to add certain pins from the MCU to track by the scope? In the mean time I will work without the scope or look forward to the first (vid...

Problem scaling in dashboard panel

Hello people at Matrix. I've got problems adapting to V6 like many other users. I'm still working with V5 until the next patches come out, V6 doesn't work well for me. One of the problems I found is that, when I put a potentiometer on the dashboard panel and simulate this component it enlarges on th...

Re: Problem scaling in dashboard panel

Hello, In previous versions of Flowcode if a user posted a FCF file which was having issues then to debug I would have to go through each property window one by one to check the settings, there were often 30 plus components on the panel so very time consuming. The properties in v6 are now much more...

Re: Where should AVRdude be?

Hi there BenJ,

I've tried everything until I found this driver:
http://mightyohm.com/blog/2010/09/avrisp-mkii-libusb-drivers-for-windows-7-vista-x64/

After replacing the "Jungo" driver with this one, shazam: everything works!
Please spread the word :-)

Re: GSM module EB066: initialise problem

Hello BenJ, I'm surprised your getting the LCD working at all on PortA using a 16F877A microcontroller. Pin RA4 is an open drain type pin and so cannot source current. Moving to PortB you might have more luck. Life is full of surprises isn't it? No, I've never thought about this, I always use LCD's ...

Re: GSM module EB066: initialise problem

Ok found the problem... After initialising there is the need for a PIN code. The Tellit Module gives an error: +CMS Error: 311. In the Telit AT commands reference (page 27) it says that the module needs the PIN code. AT+CPIN[=<pin> [,<newpin>]] Set command sends to the device a password which is nec...

Decimal to BCD

Thanks to the great Medelec35 I know how to convert BCD to decimal: dec = (bcd >> 4) * 10 + (bcd & 15) http://matrixmultimedia.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=46&p=56583#p56583 But how can I convert decimal back to BCD? I'm using a DS3231 (real time clock) and need to send the time and date in ...

Re: Internal RF component

I've done a bit of digging around and managed to find this. Demo.zip All written in assembler but should be possible to confirm it's working and then port the code across into a Flowcode 6 component. I really don't have much time on my hands at the moment to look at things like this but I will try ...

Re: Whats new in 6.10?

Yes it should :D Not sure if you mean it should but does not, or you just agree with me and you found it ok? Isn't it common practice to publish a release note when a patch is send out to the world? I didn't install the patch (my version was 6.09), before I knew what had changed. But after reading ...

Re: Error after adding switches to Arduino project

I'm sorry but this fix doesn't fix the issue.
I've put the fixed components in my V6 "components" directory, but get the same errors.

The file was created with 6.1 and the errors keep appearing.

Re: Where is the background?

Thanks BenJ

Benj wrote:Hello,

If you first set the Background colour then this will populate the Background Pattern list with patterns which use the selected colour. As the initial colour is white it's impossible to see the patterns by default which is probably not ideal.

8 Digit Dot Matrix Module component for MAX7219

Hi there, I've been looking on this forum for Flowcode components that drive 8*8 dot led displays. These displays are very very cheap and even the modules that have a MAX7219 driver IC on board are so cheap they are too good to be true. :-) The existing FC LED DOT components use two SN74LV374APW chi...

Finally, after literally a half year trying (had many hardware problems). After long waits for Chinese hardware to reach me, I finally managed to make a Flowcode based TX and RX. Re: Flowcode5 and 6 with CANbus

I had this problem too. The components in V5 and V6 are very different. For me the only way to use my old (V5) Flowcode-made chart is to keep on compile it as V5 flowchart. Maybe you can import the V5 chart, add in V6 a new CAN-bus component, and everywhere you use the component in V5, add the same ...

Arduino programming: disable pop up msg

Maybe a feature to think about: When flashing a program into an Arduino, there is always a pop up screen that tells to connect the Arduino (and so on). If you send a program 20 times to the Arduino in one session, this pop up screen is annoying. A checkbox to disable this message would be great. May...

My GPS program.

I've tried to use the Flowcode GPS component, but I couldn't use it. When using an Arduino Uno, the standard UART pins are used for the USB port, and because I want to investigate the GPS data on my computer I had to use other pins. Most other components have an option to use software pins where you...
