Find$ request

Wouldn't it be great to have a function that can look in a string if it contains a certain other string, and when it does, return the place in the string where it was found? Lets say: find$("Th is is the string that has to be checked"," is ",?) Returns: 2 (the position where it w...

Add$/Remove$ feature

After your positive reply on my "FIND$ feature request, some more requests.. :D ADD$: in a string add a certain other string at a certain place ADD$("20102015","/",2) will make "20102015" look like: "20/102015" This could be handy when adding a leading ze...

FlipFlop / Readbit / Change Bit

You've asked for it! :D If you've got still some space on your "to-do" whiteboard, here some more suggestions: Flipflop(var) -> Changes the state of the variable from 0 -> 1 or 1 -> 0 Maybe not the best suggestion but if you need to do that often it could be a great help.. ReadBit(var,posi...

Re: BLYNK Arduino!

Seems promising! :D Is IOT security an issue when you start using these platforms? What I've learned from this webinar: http://www.element14.com/community//events/4454 (IoT Security – The Elephant in the room) is that everything connected to the internet is a possible safety risk. Maybe its good to ...

Re: Teach us to make us smarter :-)

What I'm saying is that the information is scattered. If I have a program like Flowcode, and I need help, I will look in the help-file for that program. In Flowcode you end up in the Wiki. The forum is a great place for people to ask questions, but I must admit that it isn't the most active forum I ...

Re: OLED: half pixels present..

Hello, Does the "Interlaced" component property do anything to the problem if you alter the value? I can't see anything specific in the print routine which would cause this and the font is standard across all graphical LCD's so shouldn't be the cause. What about if you draw a diagonal lin...

Re: Change chip

I have a project with chip 16F877 and I would like to change the chip to the more modern 16F887 How is that done in Flowcode without starting over with a NEW empty design from beginnning ? Thanks and best regards The way I do it is quite easy. When I have a project and I want to use a different con...

Re: nRF24L01 Radio Module Component

Hello TedO, Please check my working example here: http://www.matrixtsl.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=16778&p=71942&hilit=nrf24l01#p71942 It's just the basics, send and receive. My goal was to extend the chart to one that can receive the ack from the RX and so on, but I don't have muc...

Re: I2C vs SMB : whats wrong?

Hi Your test probably does not work because you do not have a Stop after each Transmit byte. Looking at the datasheet, the protocol is quite complex, so the generic Flowcode I2C “Transaction” macros are not suitable. You will need to build up a transaction yourself from the Start, TransmitByte, Rec...

My working IR sensor MLX90614 chart

I want to share this working flowchart for the Melexis MLX90614 IR temperature sensor. This sensor has two temperature readings (some in the MLX90614 family has two IR zones). I only read the ambient temperature and the IR temperature in it's view. I made this project on an Arduino Uno, with the se...

Re: My working IR sensor MLX90614 chart

Hi Alan, I've made a report of the flowchart, maybe you can use it to reassemble the project in V5? Everything you need to make it in the previous version is described in the files. Just unrar the rar-file and open the MLX90614 Eng_fcfx.HTML file in your browser. IRsensor.rar This way you can adapt ...

My working ESP8266 weather forecast example..

I've made a weather forecast example with the Flowcode ESP8266 (ESP) Wifi component. :D This shows the forecast for the next 10 days on a 4*20 LCD display for my hometown. Before I write a thing about the actual file, I need to point to certain sources on which I found the information to get this fi...

DS3231 component

In V6 Jordy101091 had made a DS3231 component. => viewtopic.php?f=58&t=14566
Why not include this in the V7 component library?

Now there is only a DS1307 simulation available in V7.

Re: Add multiple variables in one time..

This is already available. While creating a new variable just type multiple names separated by a comma (,). All variables created at once must be of the same type. Thank you, I didn't know that. I've bought FC since version 3 but there seem to be still hidden features for me. It would be great if F...

Add multiple variables in one time..

Sometimes I need to add multiple variables in one time. Let's say "day1", "day2", "day3" and so on. Is it possible to add a feature to do this in one time? This feature that copies the current setting but changes the name in a certain logic manner. Or, after "day1&...

I think I found it.

There was a problem with my logic analyser and the speed of the SPI didn't do any good.
I reduced the speed and managed to get my logic analyser working right.

Thanks

Cryptography (like Diffie Helman )

Isn't it possible to make a encryption macro to secure the communication between two devices? I found the math for the Diffie Helman crypto, and it doesn't look like it's wont work on a microcontroller. More than this, there are examples for Arduino to use this. Look at this: https://github.com/DevM...

For now I don't understand whats going on, but on the other hand, I never said I'm smart :-)

Thanks for your efforts.
Hope to have a working macro in the future.

Wishlist for V8

I really liked Flowcode, I bought it starting from V3 right to V7. But after all this time I'm sort of hoping that Flowcode would get a new jumpstart. Compared with Arduino (sorry people @Matrix) there is a large gap between the amount of components. For every possible electronic component there is ...

Re: Wishlist for V8

Comparing Flowcode to Arduino with regards to components supported is not fair. For Arduino almost all components are created and provided by 3th parties. Whenever Adafruit and the like 'create' a new piece of hardware they make sure there is a library for it. Creating a library for Arduino is less...
