Re: Modbus
Hello, guys, I would suggest you to stop inventing a wheel. Download the source for freeMODBUS which supports RTU/ASCII modes from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/freemodbus.berlios/files/ , porting the app is easy the documentation is here http://www.freemodbus.org/api/index.html . Port your ...

I found out how to edit the linking address...but the other questions still remain...still waiting for a reply, and/or suggestions on bootloader/firmware starting codes and linking.

Re: ARM chip family update?
Hello Ben, I realy hope you can pull this off...just if you do, go for the new harcore Cortex-M7! 300MHz CPU with double precision FPU! It's a beast! I'm planning to get my eval board to test them, and I realy hope they can handle one of my complex real-time floating point math algorithms at high sp...

Re: ARM chip family update?
I don't understand why you just don't go for the atmel sam3s or sam4s chips? Apart from cmsis library and AIC replaced by NVIC the library for the remaining peripherals is almost identical...this would mean that the upgrade would be fast and easy, plus the legacy products could be upgraded with new ...

Linking bootloader and firmware
Hello guys, I have problem with my bootloader and firmware, so here it goes. I've written a bootloader code which downloads new encrypted firmware via RS-485 conected to USART1 using XMODEM-CRC protocol, and AES-EAX decryption and authentication algorithm, and with flash patritioning. So basically i...

Hi MM,
my 3.3V LDO on my ECIO ARM failed. I need to find a replacement part which is pin to pin compatible. And the model on the part is a bit unclear. Could you help me out?

Maybe this is a little bit off topic, but I would really love to see flowcode having a support for third parties, or manufacturers ICD, via Jtag, SW, or similar.

Re: ARM Debate
Hi Thomas,
Not all applications need built in CAN or ethernet support. There are many options externally that is available to add in case you need.
Best regards,
Mantas

Re: ARM Debate
Hello Ben, It's about time I say! :) One logical addition to your ARM family would be ATMEL Cortex M4 SAM4SD32B, SAM4SD16B, SAM4SA16B, SAM4S16B, (and I think the same goes with M3 series) which are pin to pin compatible with old AT91SAM7S series. So it would be a plug and play solution (maybe even f...

Re: STM32
Hi,
I know it's been a while since this was posted, but I would like to know if there are ant news for supporting STM32F4 cortex M4 family, which is really attracting many peoples attention. If yes, then when we can expect that, if no, why?
Regards,
Mantas

Re: BeagleBone Black
If someone is looking for a local Windows platform solution, I found one. You have to use Visual Studio (I am using 2013 ultimate, the express version does NOT work!) and download trial or as I buy a VisualGDB 4.1 addon for Visual studio, from Sysprogs, and install everything. Then follow the tutori...

Re: USB Serial issue
I always count on you Well ARM's also support hardware USB and has a designated FIFO registers for that, so I think it's more or less the same as with PIC's. Let me know how it goes for you

Re: USB Serial issue
Hi Benj, Yes! I would love to see it, I am missing that very much, and it would be nice to see all chips with this. Benj, I think there are source codes for all USB functionality in ATMEL website, you could download it. I am not a USB guru like you so for me it's a bit difficult to implement it, but...

So as I understand with recent release I can not work with ICD? If so when do you expect to release 6.1 patch?

Hello Jonny,
Yes, EB031 board. Mloader does not find it after compilation. Just shows message to connect the device, and no restart or on off procedures are helping. Do I need to update bootloader?

Anyway I am a bit disappointed that they removed the JTAG debugging capability...
