Re: Help with APA102 - SPI (Legacy/Master)

Thanks Benj but unfortunately as I need to control 80 LEDs and with a very basic program with a few different patterns the Chip 16F1937 is at 98.2% and I am not even half way through my project, doing EXACTLY the same thing manually with the SPI master and a Multi dimensional array to hold the LED d...

Re: SPI - Difference between V5 & V8

Ok, solved it by changing all the settings in V8 one at a time until it worked, the issue was the Clock Phase In V5 you have a choice of Rising or Falling edge. In V8 you have a choice of Leading or Trailing edge. For APA102 LEDs to understand the data the V5 setting is Rising edge and in V8 it must...

Re: SPI - Difference between V5 & V8

Hi kersing, Just using the SPI bit to shove data and clock out to some APA102s so was not using CS output, seemed the easiest way of doing it a few years ago, are there any other components in flowcode that will also send data a byte at a time using Clock and data outputs you can think of as it look...

SPI - Difference between V5 & V8

I have tried asking on the V8 forum but have had no response, can someone please help me with using the SPI component to send data to LED's I have created identical files in FC V5 & FC V8, the V5 works using the SPI Legacy but the V8 does not using the SPI Master. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? - been t...

Help with APA102 - SPI (Legacy/Master)

I am mid way through moving a project from FC5 - 8 and always used to use the FC5 SPI Legacy to send data to the LEDs, I can't find this on FC8 so I am using the SPI Master but can only seem to get the LEDs to light up blue despite being identical to the FC5 file. I have tried using the built in APA...

Re: Reading a 125khz RFID Tag (RDM6300), Help Please

Thanks for that, it now works reliably, i have got the code to extract the ID from the whole code, rather messily so please feel free to correct. rfidread2.JPG The next thing i need to do is find a way of getting the chip to match the 8 byte id which it has just read to one of about 100 in a table/a...

Reading a 125khz RFID Tag (RDM6300), Help Please

Hi All, Can I ask the wider flowcode community for a bit of assistance please as I can’t get my code to work reliably or consistently and I am probably going about it completely incorrectly. My end goal is to have a small circuit that will read a 125khz RFID tag (using a RDM6300) and depending on wh...

Re: DMX Master

Fixed it, start a new project and go to Help > Check for updates then choose "Full Database" bottom left - this pulled it in and probably others that I didn't realise were missing - then restart FC

Hope this helps people.

Help with reading single digits from a number

Hi All, Is there any way of reading the individual digits from a number into separate variables, for instance if the variable ‘Number = 54321’ could I copy it to 5 variables called digit1, digit2, digit3 etc with each one containing a single digit. So I would have digit1 = 5 digit2 = 4 etc I have tr...
