Re: Is the PCA9685 12bit 16ch PWM driver available?

Based on a lack of a response can I assume that this not available in FC8.

Thanks

Is the PCA9685 12bit 16ch PWM driver available?

Is the PCA9685 12bit 16ch PWM driver available for flowcode 8, if not can it be?

I have seen reference that it is in the output section but I only have 2 options, the internal one and a relay one.

It is possible I have missed an update, I am running v8.2.0.12

Thanks

Adding Text to the Panel

This is probably a really stupid question but how do you add text to the panel - I have searched and found references to a toolbox on the left of the panel but my flowcode does not have it and I cannot find a way of turning it on, I have attached screenshots of my flowcode and what I found on the in...

Re: Programming warnings & memory usage

Thanks.

I only picked that one as it had 4 PWM outputs in a 8 pin package so my choices were a bit limited.

Still curious as to why I can use 127% of the available data space.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, if no-one can answer is there documentation that explains the memory usage.

Re: Flowcode v8 shutting down

I have just checked and my has not had any updates for a couple of weeks. It just crashed again in a sim - it got slower and slower then froze for a few seconds then closed I have got entries in the Application log / Event viewer from fc8 crashing yesterday, here are two of them - most are just abou...

Re: Integrating PicKit3 into FC8, Guide?

Thank you Benj, all up and working now with my "hi-tech" programmer, is the issue of the chip I am using 12F1501 not being included in mloader an intentional choice due to compatibility and is it likely to be added in the future?

Is it possible to add the chip manually?

Thanks

Programming warnings & memory usage

I have been working on a program for a 12F1501 and as the project gets bigger so does the program and data space that it uses - this is expected, I am surprised about how quickly they go up though with very little in the project so I am assuming the chip I am using has very little space. One curiosi...

Re: Flowcode v8 shutting down

I am now having the problem of it just closing, this has happened when I am in the middle of changing things, running a sim, programming and just sitting in the background doing nothing.. I have been working on a 12F1501 project. I have changed the graphics to software and it is still closing - no p...

PWM Issues

I am trying to create a little circuit to fade an LED on & off without success so to test I have created a quick multi step pwm using the 10bit option and it works in the simulation but when running on the Chip (12F1501) it seems to only to step 2 then the led goes back to dim. I am guessing I am do...

PWM Icon red not yellow

Hi All, I have a simple program which I could not get to run on the chip, simulation was fine, I re-wrote it again with identical settings and it worked, what did I do wrong in the non-working one (Nwork) and why was the PWM image red instead of yellow? Thanks Ben nwork.PNG NWork.fcfx YWork.fcfx

Integrating PicKit3 into FC8, Guide?

Hi all, Is there a step by step on how to integrate a PicKit3 unit into FC8 and m-blocks2 so I can program chips not supported by mloader and still have the convenience of my code running (or not) imminently and not having to swap chips around or unplug things. I have installed MPLab 5.4 but don't r...

Re: 12f1501 - Unknown chip type in data file

Everything I have read says it does, I have the new Eblocks2
https://www.matrixtsl.com/webshop/e-blo ... ammer.html

I hope it does as I have just bought 40 chips for a load of upcoming projects and chip has been around ages, the datasheet I have for it is 2011

12f1501 - Unknown chip type in data file

I have the BL0080 and want to program a 12f1501, as the board does not have a 8-pin socket I have used the icsp onto some breadboard but keep getting this error when sending to the chip - Unknown chip type in data file

I have checked my connections and all seems fine - what am I doing wrong?

Re: Plugging multiple eblock modules into a Eblock2 board

Hi Benj, IDC cables would be an option and i have some but that isn't the problem, i can't actually plug two of the BL0119 modules in to the BL0080 board side by side as the spacing is 3mm too short! Do you sell/supply the Harting connector that eblocks2 boards use made up into a short cable so i ca...

Plugging multiple eblock modules into a Eblock2 board

Hi all, Having a bit of an issue, i have been using my old eblocks EB006 for years and invested a lot of money in the boards, I recently discovered that it cannot program the newer pics (16F18877) which is fair enough as it is old so i have bought a new programmer BL0080 and 5 adaptor boards BL0119 ...

Nice one, that did it.

Is there anything i can run that would show what speed the pic is actually running at, with a crystal you know.

Hi All, Up until now i have always used a crystal with Pics but i am trying to get the internal osc running at 32mhz for my next project but cannot get it to run a program at the correct speed (turn out on, wait 1 sec, turn out off, wait 1 sec) I have read the pic datasheet and i think i have done w...

Re: Help with APA102 - SPI (Legacy/Master)

Thanks Benj but unfortunately as I need to control 80 LEDs and with a very basic program with a few different patterns the Chip 16F1937 is at 98.2% and I am not even half way through my project, doing EXACTLY the same thing manually with the SPI master and a Multi dimensional array to hold the LED d...

Re: SPI - Difference between V5 & V8

Ok, solved it by changing all the settings in V8 one at a time until it worked, the issue was the Clock Phase In V5 you have a choice of Rising or Falling edge. In V8 you have a choice of Leading or Trailing edge. For APA102 LEDs to understand the data the V5 setting is Rising edge and in V8 it must...

Re: SPI - Difference between V5 & V8

Hi kersing, Just using the SPI bit to shove data and clock out to some APA102s so was not using CS output, seemed the easiest way of doing it a few years ago, are there any other components in flowcode that will also send data a byte at a time using Clock and data outputs you can think of as it look...
