BUG - USART Ports Swapped (Channel 1 & 2)

Hi

Using a AtMega2560 (Robotdyn Pro Mini)

USART Ports 0&1 are swapped around in FC7, 'Channel 2' is TX1,RX1 (pins D18 &D19) and Channel 1 is the inbuilt USB port ( usually port 0)

I have not tried the other ports.

I can confirm it works as expected in Atmel Studio 7 and Arduino IDE

Re: USART Rx Interrupts

Hi Ben, A bit of background - Just need to show 5 characters a LCD sent from a terminal window (tera term) to (eventually) simulate and debug another project written in AS7 for a Mega . This code is for a genuine UNO R3 (AtMega 328P) with a 16x2 LCD shield. Thought I'd have a play with FC interrupts...

USART Rx Interrupts

Hi Trying to follow Wiki help regarding custom interrupts for Serial reception https://www.matrixtsl.com/wiki/index.php?title=Custom_Interrupts_-_AVR From the following, if I had a macro called ' MyRoutine' where / how do I put in the 'Call Flowcode Macro' section - do I replace the %n, do away with...

64Bit Variables

Hello everyone,

Just noticed FC doesn't support long long variables (64bit) how can this variable type be implemented and used if FC?
Could I drop down to a C box and declare a long long then use it within FC as per normal?

Re: 2d Arrays, Accessing and External LUT

Hi Martin, I am trying to implement a hardware search routine and storage for One Wire device which have addresses that are 32bits / 8 Bytes long. and the results initially will be stored EEPROM (somewhere) - probably an external I2C EEPROM. The MCU doesn't matter - its' governed by other criteria a...

2d Arrays, Accessing and External LUT

Hi I'm trying to convert a C program into FC7 I need at least one 8 byte Array ( num[0] or more correctly num[0][8] ) but ultimately an unknown number ( num [x][8] ) but x ultimately could be close to 100+ So can FC implement and actively use this type of scheme/structure (English terms not programm...

License Issue

Hi After a major PC failure (flames) I am returning to an ongoing project. I have reinstalled FC (7.3.0.7) and additional packs are installed. I have a problem in that I am no longer able to see compiled C code or able to save a compiled HEX file, FC shows the following message "You do not have a va...

Re: V8 Worth the Upgrade?

QMESAR - please note I did not say never, those guys used to be contribute to the forum twice / three times every day during the week, It was the life blood of FC. Hell Leigh occasionally posted when he got home bless 'im. There are soo many posts here now which don't get answered - it never used to...

V8 Worth the Upgrade?

Realistically considering the bugs that seems to be permanently on the forums, the change of licensing of components from v7 (you get less), is V8 actually worth the grief and expense of upgrading. Obviously, Matrix staff think their software is great but since Ben and Leigh are not around the forum...

Strange Configuration Feature

Hi

Working through the datasheet configuring an 16LF1823.

Noticed that FV7 has a function that the datasheet makes no mention of - a 'Voltage Regulator Capacitor' it would be nice to use. Is this a phantom FC 'feature' or a cocked datasheet. What's the story

Re: PWM doesn't work right - Arduino NANO

Hi rradojko, In addition to what Ben posted, coincidentally, I have just watched a video by Eevblog (I think it was on the series he did about the 3 cent MCU) he programmed a blink LED function and showed the output on the same type of logic analyser you are using -Silae and it's clones, He said tha...

Re: Finished Code Estimate

Thank you Both,

Hi Ben, yes in an ideal world this of course is the way to go, but I might need 30+ devices so there is a massive budgetary component to this.

Hi Abhi, that's great but was that compiled code produced with Flowcode?

Finished Code Estimate

Hi

Looking to size a PIC - just would like to get an idea/estimate in practice of finished code size to implement a Modbus slave system to drive a 2 output pins based on received byte.
I'm looking to use the PIC16LF18xx range, so will it fit into a 2K, 4K or an 8K device.

Thanks

Full Duplex Code

Hi

Does anyone have examples of Full Duplex code utilising the PIC/AVR Serial ports they could post ? Alternatively, a full explanation of the concept (ultimate goal RS485)

Thanks.

Re: I2C Multi Master

Hi Ben, AH! Sorry if this has been a PITA for you personally! I thought it would be a simple matter of adding/copying some functionality to the I2C Slave macro and it would 'just' pushed through all the ranges. I'm SOO temped to say PIC and AVR   LOL. I'm still researching my design, but t...

Re: I2C Multi Master

Hi Ben I see no mention of Interrupt in my V7 I2C Slave component. The Slave does require the SSP interrupt which was added to devices fairly recently. So what do I do? Can this be implement in a C routine or you sent me a new component Doesn't I2C included (albeit basic) a handshaking mechanism usi...

I2C Multi Master

Hi

Can the I2C Master Slave components operate in Multi Master configuration.
And does the Slave initiate and interrupt when data is received.
Thanks
