Re: Complementary Filtering

thanks for your reply, but i really dont understand this! ive had a look at the example code, and it features a rs232 component, which i do not have licence for and also there is no accelerometer data being read as far as i can see, im just after something to read the sensor then display it on a lcd...

Complementary Filtering

hi guys, ive been playing with a MPU6050 accelerometer, gyro, and themo sensor, and it gives me the values, which is easy enough, but i have heard you can display a more accuracte figure if you do some calculations and use values from both accelerometer and gyroscope (complimentary filtering) does a...

Re: Driving a 16x4 LCD

Driving a 16x4 LCD

hi guys, i have had no problems running a 16x2 lcd display, and i assumed that driving a 16x4 would be pretty much the same, and i also assumed that when i type in the cursor numbers i could simply put x0, y4 and it would write to the 4th line on the display, however this doesnt seem to be the case....

Re: GLCD EBM001

thats very interesting, because you can actually see the pixels changing along the screen, but to refresh the screen i have to clear the whole screen then it has to re build any boxes and text etc that i had put in place. it shouldnt be too much of a problem with what im using it for, but still a bi...

Re: How to connect SPI 2.2" GLCD ILI9341 to Arduino Duemilan

i have tested this on hardware, and unfortunately it doesnt seem to work, only a half of the screen seems to start up (horizontally) and also if you write text, it goes off the screen. when it starts up, half of the screen is white and the other side, all of the pixels are different random colours, ...

Re: GLCD EBM001

no problem, i will do that now, i hope that the driver can be fixed to it works properly, however as i said, the built in one seems to work well, just refreshes really slow?

Re: GLCD EBM001

yeah, i did see that, but it doesnt seem to work as well as the built in driver in flowcode, only half the screen starts up and the rest is a mix of weird colours, bit of a weird one, i think!

thanks,
matt

Re: Completed Project

thanks for your replies :) and thanks dazz for the advice, i have read that geckos dont generally chew wires, which is lucky, but they are shielded anyway, apart from the mains cable for the heater! however in the pet shop, they had wires everywhere, which looked messy to be honest, but they seemed ...

personally i haven't really used any seven segment displays, purely because of the ridiculous number of wires, and they're not cheap! personally i use the 16x2 LCD displays, as they're only £2.50 each, and can easily display any character.... plus it makes your project look more techy ;) lol I'm afr...

to be fair, looks like a very simple project, a lot of my projects have massively long main threads, but if its doing what you want it to do, then no worries :)
