Re: BBC weather component IP address
I should have read the wiki page before. Found this link there. weather-broker-cdn.api.bbci.co.uk Strange checking the ip address going through a mobile phone connection gave 104.91.71.134 which worked ok, any 3 last digits seemed ok. But using my home internet BT the result came came as 23.59.171.4...

Upgrading from 7 to 8 a question
Hello I see the offer is extended. I am going to upgrade but was wondering if I need the pro version. I think I've had the pro version since V5 or V6 I'm using V7 at the moment. I can't think why I ever got the pro version, I won't be manufacturing or selling anything. I'm only a hobbyist dabbling a...

The BBC weather component worked lovely, I was just wondering should the socket be left open or opened and closed between readings.
Thanks

Re: ESP8266 Demo weather test file from web site
I'm just trying out the free trial version of FC8, I think something came up and it downloaded some updates.
They are making me work so I'll check when I get home.
I expect I'm doing something stupid.
Thanks.

ESP8266 Demo weather test file from web site
Hello I've been playing with this file I downloaded from the web site, all seems to work fine but no data appears. It connects to my home wifi and opens the socket ect, but no data is ever fetched. It does not seem to be sending the request. I'm baffled again. Any help or advice would be appreciated...

USBtiny and FC8
Hello Sorry if this has been asked before. On FC 7 I was able to program the Arduino via the ICSP using the USBtiny programmer, just had to alter a couple of lines as in the attached files. Is it possible with FC8? It all seems different. I can't pretend I knew what I was doing but it seed to work f...

ESP8266 AT question
Hello Just playing around with this module and when you connect to an AP it returns "OK" But when it fails to connect it returns "+CWJAP:1" but the component seems to accept this as a valid connection also. Just wondering if its because its seeing the 1 coming back from the module. Is there anyway o...

Re: Starburst Display
Thanks very much, I didn't expect such great service and have it looked into so quickly. It all loads to the microcontroller fine now. I was using a different chip and had assigned different outputs to the segments, I tested all the segments out for crossed wires with a little test program and all c...

Starburst Display
Hello I was looking at the starburst display and I tried the demo program, it compiled to C ok but compile to hex brings up this error. PIC32 Chip Pack
Hello I'm baffled again. When I went from FC6 to FC7 I did not get the PIC32 Chip Pack enabled. I have been trying to work out how to add it on now. I've clicked on Buy under the view licenses section but that takes you to a flowcode 8 page. Is it possible to add it now or does the whole program hav...

Re: Circular buffer question help needed.
Thanks very much.
You've got a very logical brain.
I only had to alter 2 small things and it worked perfectly.
Why could I not see that solution.
Thanks again.

Re: Circular buffer question help needed.
I had some luck I'm getting >22.8 on the display. Could do without the ">" appearing though. I'm just wondering how to isolate the 22.8 out of the data received. I'm very thick. I've attached my attempt +IPD,100:<span id="ctl00_ContentMain_dlParams_ctl01_lblPValue"><b><font size="6">22.8°C</font...

Circular buffer question help needed.
Hello I'm baffled again. If I have the below in the circular buffer and wanted just to print the 20.8 temp received how would I do it? I've tried searching for the string that comes before and it gets located, I just thought I could get the following bytes and that would be what I was looking for bu...

Re: 4 x 7 Segment LED and shift register help
Thanks for that, it works perfectly very smooth no flickering. It's going to take me a while to fully understand how you've done that, a week I expect! The basic thing I'm having trouble with is this, if for instance I read a time from a RTC module and want to send it to the LED's how do I link a ce...

Re: 4 x 7 Segment LED and shift register help
Thank you that's very interesting. Strange thing is, with that 1 sec delay in the main loop the first 3 digits were just a blur every second and the 4th a permanent zero, but deleting that delay made it appear to slow down. The first 2 digits almost a blur but the 3rd and 4th counting fast, with the...

4 x 7 Segment LED and shift register help
Hello, I'm stuck again. I have a little board that drives 4 x 7 Segment LED's via a shift register, I know what string of bits to sent to light up the correct digit and number but I'm stuck on how to make some sort of table up so that if I wanted to send for example, number 8 to digit 1 The bits to ...
