Re: Managing Compiler Options

Its only when I press the save Icon. system freezes. hitting return seems to work. I have previously been updating the registry manually to change settings. JFinlayson, I am looking in to this problem at the moment but I'm struggling to find the problem because I haven't been able to replicate it u...

Re: Managing Compiler Options

Hi Roy, Has this just started to happen recently after changing some settings? If you start Flowcode fresh with its default settings does it save a project without freezing? If so then what things are you doing that lead up to the point where it begins to freeze when you save? Also in the File menu ...

Ok then I think that there might be an issue with the CAL file then. Our resident PIC32 guru (Ben) is currently away for a couple of weeks but let me have a chat with the guys here and see what I can find out :)

Re: Flowkit 2and PIC32MX534F064

Hi QMESAR, I can explain the reason why this error happens and maybe it will help you to fix it. When you turn on ICD there is a bunch of new code that gets generated which doesn't appear in a normal build. If you turn on ICD and then click on Build -> View C Code then scroll down a few lines you ca...

Hi,

I can see the problem also on my machine but unfortunately 7.2.1 was release on Friday :? it should fix the problem of being unable to pause ICD though.

Re: ICD & Adding Variables to Simulation Window

Hi Martin, please can you elaborate a bit on what you mean by it being hit and miss? What exactly is the problem?

If you have time please can you post an example project that you are having problems with and a list of steps to replicate the issue?

Hello EtsDriver,

There is a patch in the works that should fix this problem for you along with a few other bits and pieces that have been reported. It is currently in testing but if all goes well then it should be released this week :)

Re: Comparing 2 UInt values

Hi Coensk, I just had a quick look at your program and probably you will want to be using a byte rather than a bool. A bool generally only has 2 values; True or False (0 or 1). If you want to store any value other than that then you should use other data types. Also there are easier ways to iterate ...

Re: Where does Menu hide ?

Hi Guys, This is a known issue. I have actually already taken a quick look in to the problem because I thought it would be easy to resolve but unfortunately it is not. It is on the list of things to do though. For the moment deleting the registry key is the workaround. the solution is probably going...

Re: 'Loop' icon seems to have a GUI bug

Hi Bill, We never managed to replicate this bug here at the office, even when we set up a monitor with your unusual portrait and resolution settings. However we did make some minor changes to the way things are drawn so please can you give patch 7.1.1 a try and see if it fixes your problem? If it do...

Re: Update Error

Hi acestu, I admit that the patching system in Flowcode is not that great. The patches only work for the previous version only and so if you miss a few updates then you have to download and install a series of patches in order to bring yourself up to date with the latest version. I can tell you that...

Re: "Refreshing components" FC7.1 frozen

Hi Stefan, I am not sure what else to suggest. If Flowcode is working in Safe Mode then it means there is nothing wrong with Flowcode and there is nothing wrong with the hardware on your PC. As David said it might be that there is some other piece of software that is interfering with Flowcode or may...

Re: "Refreshing components" FC7.1 frozen

Hi Stefan, Flowcode 7 is much bigger than Flowcode 6 was. There are new components, new chip packs, new graphical interface, new compilers etc. The installation of Flowcode has increased in size from about 1 gig to about 4 gig in total. I realise that this is probably not what you want to hear, but ...

Hi,

Just to let you all know that the console has now been modified so that it does not require the pro licence, but it does however require the test and debug pack. It will also work in the 30 day trial. A patch will be release very soon.

Re: "Refreshing components" FC7.1 frozen

Hi Stefan, I am not sure why this is happening for you but it might be because you have a corrupt component file. It does sound like for some reason the components directory on the computer that is not working is somehow different to the one on the computer that is working. At this stage I do not th...
