No need to uninstall - just run the 8.2 patch.

Re: SCADA WebBrowser

Great idea - thanks! I think having the browser window in the panel itself might be difficult, but we should be able to create a dockable browser window that is controllable via Flowcode.

We'll add this to our list of new features.

Re: StringToFloat$(), StringToInt$() Ploblem Help me!!

In your code, you are using constants to determine the position of the numbers within your data and I don't think these are set to the correct values. For example, you have the following: Weight_Str1 = Mid$ (Buffer1,Data_Start_Point,Data_Start_Length) Weight_Str2 = Mid$ (Buffer1,Data_End_Point,Data_...

Thanks, Jorgen. Re: After update to 8.2 ?

Hi Jorgen, There are a few bits of information I need from you to proceed, which you can find by using a tool such as Realtech VR's OpenGL Extensions Viewer: http://realtech-vr.com/admin/glview Specifically, I need to know the version of OpenGL used on the problem PC and information about its capabi...

Re: After update to 8.2 ?

Hi Jorgen, That's strange - the problem we identified here only affects the OpenGL Software mode. Perhaps the Hardware more on your PC is not available or there is another problem preventing this. This will not be simple for us to solve, so you should either use your other PC or install the earlier ...

Re: After update to 8.2 ?

Hi Jorgen,

That's strange. We managed to replicate the problem with your program on a few PCs here.

Did you restart Flowcode and/or your PC? Also, when you restarted Flowcode, has the setting in Global Options permanently changed to the hardware mode?

Regards,
Steve.

Re: After update to 8.2 ?

Hi Jorgen, Thanks for the file. We've discovered the issue and there is a quick workaround - set the Graphics Engine to "OpenGL hardware" (this is in the "Application" tab of "Global Options"). We'll hopefully find a fix for the software mode over the next week or so, b...

Re: After update to 8.2 ?

If Ben's topic doesn't help, then please PM me with the programs and I will have a look. There have been some changes behind the scenes with the 2D panel and your projects will help me determine what is going on.

Steve.

Re: Division by 10 easy?

Hi Jan, If you just want to display the divided number rather than do any maths on it, then you could do something like this: 1) convert the integer to a string: value_as_string = ToString$(my_int_value) 2) display the first part of the string: Left$(value_as_string, Length$(value_as_string)-1) 3) d...

Re: Decision component for simulation only

Hi Martin, That's a good idea. I'm sure Ben and Leigh know a few tricks, but in the meantime, here's a possible workaround... 1) Create a variable and set it to zero ("IsSimulating = 0"). 2) Use a simulation event (e.g. Time::GetMillisecs) to set it to a value 3) Use an "if (IsSimulat...

Re: Switches not responsive after zooming in

Hi Martin, I've been looking into this and I don't think your suggestion will fully resolve the issue because the Z coordinate can be set by other means, but I have another suggestion. First of all, I'll explain the problem. On the 3D panel, there is a toggle button which looks like a solid cube whi...

Re: *OBJ Design S. Mechanical to FC 3D Panel

Hi Ferla,

One more thing to try. I've attached a program that contains a component with relative links to the meshes. Please unzip the attachment somewhere on your PC, then load the FCFX file in Flowcode and let us know if the meshes are being displayed.

Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Ferla. Hi Dave. Thanks for your collective patience and assistance in trying to resolve this issue. It is always tricky to solve when the problem happens on one PC and we cannot replicate the fault ourselves. The other things I would suggest is starting your PC in safe mode and seeing if that dia...

Re: *OBJ Design S. Mechanical to FC 3D Panel

I've just thought it might be something to do with the translation DLL, but I've tried it in Italian and it still works for me. This seems very strange.

Are you experiencing this problem on other computers or just one?

This was happening to me as well. Basically, it seems like that "convert to mesh" window appears behind Flowcode's main screen.

@Ferla - is this what's happening to you too?

Re: "Millis" timer (like in Arduino)

My suggestion is to create a global variable representing this "tick" count and use a timer interrupt to increment it by 1 each millisecond (i.e. set the interrupt frequency to 1 kHz). You should then be able to read the value of this variable (or even reset it to zero) whenever you wanted...

Hi Ferla, That is a very interesting question which I will try to answer with a bit of background... As a company, we have always mainly served education. Flowcode was initially designed to support the Design and Technology curriculum in UK schools (this was a few years after the 16F84 chip was rele...
