Re: *OBJ Design S. Mechanical to FC 3D Panel

Hi Ferla,

One more thing to try. I've attached a program that contains a component with relative links to the meshes. Please unzip the attachment somewhere on your PC, then load the FCFX file in Flowcode and let us know if the meshes are being displayed.

Thanks,
Steve.

Re: *OBJ Design S. Mechanical to FC 3D Panel

Hi Ferla. Hi Dave. Thanks for your collective patience and assistance in trying to resolve this issue. It is always tricky to solve when the problem happens on one PC and we cannot replicate the fault ourselves. The other things I would suggest is starting your PC in safe mode and seeing if that dia...

Re: *OBJ Design S. Mechanical to FC 3D Panel

I've just thought it might be something to do with the translation DLL, but I've tried it in Italian and it still works for me. This seems very strange.

Are you experiencing this problem on other computers or just one?

This was happening to me as well. Basically, it seems like that "convert to mesh" window appears behind Flowcode's main screen.

@Ferla - is this what's happening to you too?

Re: "Millis" timer (like in Arduino)

My suggestion is to create a global variable representing this "tick" count and use a timer interrupt to increment it by 1 each millisecond (i.e. set the interrupt frequency to 1 kHz). You should then be able to read the value of this variable (or even reset it to zero) whenever you wanted...

is there a way to layer components on top of each other and control the order? I want to layer the 7 deg display on top of the dial gauge to provide digits on top of the analogue display... Hi Pete, I found this to be an issue too. It is linked to the "collision detection" setting which c...

Re: Clarification of industrial regulations

Hi Ferla, That is a very interesting question which I will try to answer with a bit of background... As a company, we have always mainly served education. Flowcode was initially designed to support the Design and Technology curriculum in UK schools (this was a few years after the 16F84 chip was rele...

Re: Interrupting the movement?

I can think of two ways around this: 1) Use a loop to repeat a set number of times (e.g. 20 times) and move a smaller amount within the loop, followed immediately with a check for a wall, and break out of the loop if the wall is detected. 2) Use SetMotor to set off driving and then continually monit...

When it comes to upgrading, you are not forced to upgrade very aspect of Flowcode. So it would only be more expensive if you chose to upgrade all of your features and chip-packs.

Related to this is a small addition that allows dialog windows to display messages and for getting user input. I...

Re: Hello all, NOOB here some comments, thoughts, and questions.

Hi Chad, Whilst the ARM chip-pack is not our most popular, it is being used successfully by quite a few other users. One of the big issues we have found with these STM32 devices is that they have multiple and complicated clocking mechanisms, which does affect many aspects of Flowcode. Regarding your...

Re: Flowcode SCDA (to write PC program) Install problem

If the patch fails, then you should uninstall Flowcode and install the full v8.1 installation. You should not need to reinstall the compiler toolchains though.

I hope this helps.

Re: Please Help ....

Hi Iain, Glad you have found a workaround, although it does sound like a very strange problem. Just to check, does saving the file is a directory like "c:\flowcode\xxx.fcf" work also? If so, then I believe the problem could be related to the 8.3 short filenames being missing from your hard...

There are two possible solutions in the menu for Flowcode 8: 1) Use "File...Save image" when a flowchart has the focus. 2) Use "File...Create project report" to generate a report containing images of all flowcharts in your program. I hope one of these solutions helps you. Regards...

There is considerable effort required to support a new family of microcontrollers and so it's probably unlikely we'll support these anytime soon. But thanks for the suggestion - they are an interesting range of devices.

Another thing you could do if you wanted to preserve the look of your flowchart is to use an input or output icon and customize the C code appropriately.

Re: 18f4550 usb issues

There seem to be lots of issues with these pins on that chip. Another suggestion from my searches is to add these to the C-icon:

Code: Select all

ADCON1 = 0x0F;
CMCON = CMCON | 0x07;

Unfortunately, I don't have suitable hardware to hand so I can't test.

I think this should work...

At the start of your program, add a C-icon and enter the following:

Code: Select all

UCON = 0x00;
UCFG = 0x08;
