Hi Jan, Don't believe this is a V8 issue I experienced this with V6 as soon as you try to go past the supplied lead length with ICSP Programming you get all sorts of weird results and miss programming. Not got V8, but in V7 you can read the ADC using

"read as string" have you tried this ? then you can define the length of the string to 4

modbus was developed in 1979 by modicon for there PLC's and is widely utilised

if you are using this board for each slave then you will have two termination resistors fitted (R7)
