Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Hi Leigh, Oh dear, I didn't realise the interrupt was not set, however, now that it is I have the errors shown in the screen shot attachment. A previous time, I was able to do a 'repair' to solve that but didn't solve the problem this time. I then uninstalled and reinstalled and still no good so som...

Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Hi all, To keep post-followers informed: I tried a copy of the flowchart in friends computer and it compiles in seconds so it is a computer issue but I have tried all suggestions to no avail. Will just have to 'live with it' :( JUST ONE FINAL CONCERN IF ANYONE COULD COMMENT - Although compiling fini...

Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
I have just checked and the only things running during compilation are 2 lines saying the same thing i.e. BoostC-3,EXE (Description is boost_pic16.flowcode.exe). During processing the lower line of the two runs at 50% (1,572 kb) and the upper line runs at 0% (10,576 kb). When linker comes in, the % ...

Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Thanks fellas, I really appreciate your thoughts and time on this and thanks Martin - yes a while back in all this you had said that's all it took and all my charts used to be as quick as the times you are both coming up with so I am really pushed into digging into my computer now so have transferre...

Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Hmmm, The CPU reached 100% initially but after 10 seconds or so it settled down to about 66% (at about the point where 'processing' starts and also went to 100% for a few seconds at the start of the 'linker' then also settled to around 60% till 'finish'. CPU dropped to 0 to 2% at 'finish'. Most sign...

Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Hi Leigh,
You've got me there 'cos I not sure how you mean (and not very compute-literate either!). I know about task manager but not Resource Monitor ( unless you mean the live graphics with CPU monitoring etc. ? )

Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Hi Leigh' Yes, I should have been able to do that but I discovered when this problem occured that I must have inadvertantly turned my scheduled restore times off or something 'cos there are none at all showing. I am not sure but it I feel this COULD actually get worse if Windows gets involved, as I ...

Re: SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Hi Benj, Unfortunately that hasn't made any difference putting Flowcode into BitDefender exceptions to reduce compiling time (although probably not needed to I did re-boot afterwards). I had a feeling this might have been something to do with windows updates - which often causes a problems - and alt...

Re: ERRORS SORTED but 8 minutes to COMPILE!
Hi Leigh, Many thanks - I have tried to disable my AV software as I thought but now I am not as sure so I am in the process of looking at that now and if necessary getting in touch with BitDefender. Both yourself and Benj have mentioned putting Flowcode on a 'white list' and Benj has just posted on ...

Re: ERRORS SORTED but 8 minutes to COMPILE!
Hi Andrew, Thanks for your reply and yes, it was a possibility as I recall someone mentioning that in a post somewhere but I tried dis-abling my BitDefender AV but to no avail. Also I have had that AV for well over a year and not had any problems with speed of compiling - it suddenly happened 'out o...

ERRORS SORTED but 8 minutes to COMPILE!
I have sorted out the errors over the weekend but I have this one FRUSTRATING problem.... Really desperate to solve the problem of compiling and sending to chip respectively taking up to 8 minutes. I have just used a bit of well recommended software called 'Reimage' to ensure the computer is 100% an...

Re: PIC16F1823 SIMULATES PERFECTLY BUT HAS 4 COMPILING ERROR
I believe I have solved the errors problem now - there appeared to be TWO Windows Drivers in my Windows Programme List so I deleted one and seems to compile successfully now (but see next paragraph). I have just one problem left: It is taking 7 to 8 minutes to compile and a similar time to send to c...

Re: PIC16F1823 SIMULATES PERFECTLY BUT HAS 4 COMPILING ERROR
Hi all, I have posted this on GENERAL topics as well under SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS' because I believe this could be something to do with the difficult 'background ' of this chip - as others have found in the past and may turn out to be useful as it is a VERY useful, small chip with great fea...

SIMULATES BUT 4 COMPILE 'ERRORS'
Hi all, The attached flowchart simulates perfectly but doesn't fully compile. I have managed to remove quite a few errors in C but I have no real knowledge of C code at all and don't understand the errors shown (particularly as C in this chart is looks exactly the same as C in another of my charts d...

PIC16F1823 SIMULATES PERFECTLY BUT HAS 4 COMPILING ERRORS
Hi all, The attached flowchart simulates perfectly but doesn't fully compile. I have managed to remove a few errors in C but I have no real knowledge of C code at all and don't understand the errors shown - particularly as they seem ok in the programme to my unknowledgeable mind! I have included att...

Re: Putting a PIC16F88 into and out of sleep mode
Hi Benj,
Ahhh... sorry I have that vertical bar ALSO on the key that is below the escape key but as a third icon and didn't spot that elsewhere - thankyou!
Many thanks re the ioca explanation, I'm now fired up and can work with that!
Many thanks,
Chris

Re: Putting a PIC16F88 into and out of sleep mode
Hi Benj, I didn't want to get to hardware before clearing up the fact that F883 simulates and so why doesn't F1823 - so that's cleared that up with your explanation now. Yes I have the full set of F1823 data sheets and although I understand the 'words' and the 'working' I do not know how it translat...

Re: Putting a PIC16F88 into and out of sleep mode
Hi Benj, yes fully registered again at last, thankyou for that. I am left with the problem of the PIC16F1823 interrupt not switching when any one of the switches RA0,1,2,4 or 5 is operated. ( I am using RA3 for MCLR 'tied' to +ve ). In desperation I have compared C code for this 16F1823 flowchart wi...

Re: Putting a PIC16F88 into and out of sleep mode
Sorry Benj but I not sure where you mean as not on the reg panel - I have seen a place for the user name if I am removing Flowcode and then re-installing it - is that where you mean? If so, then it is already there correctly but I can go through the process again. I guess you removed the last postin...

Re: Putting a PIC16F88 into and out of sleep mode
Hi Benj or anyone from the MM team, I know you guys are busy but I am stuck with two priority problems that are specifically to do with REGISTRATION and the Flowcode-LISTED CHIP ( the PIC16F1823 ) which does'nt simulate whereas the PIC16F887 DOES! I have no control over either of these factors as th...
