Re: Help with Temp over Xbee project please
Hi Ted,
The sensors that I want to use need to be stainless and waterproof ie submersible these are freely available in the DS18B20 flavour where as your LM35DZ isn't, so I have no choice really.
Thanks
Stuart

Hi jac, What was the outcome of your software, did it tell you what you wanted to know ?, I went back to basics and created a chart that was just supposed to get the device count but my logic analyzer picks up nothing at all no signals. http://www.matrixtsl.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=17350 Th...

Re: Help with Temp over Xbee project please
Hi Jac, Yes course it is  :? , I am not used to working with AVR, anyway I downloaded Xloader and programmed the Uno, this is what my analyzer said although not sure whether or not you wanted anything connected to the Uno ie Ds18b20, so this is with nothing connected except analyzer. uno_logi...

Ds18b20 starting from scratch
Hi,
Because of my problems with this device I am starting from scratch, I have a simple chart that I have put together that should just display the amount of devices on the bus, when programmed I get 0 zero devices, is my chart correct ? any help appreciated.
Thanks
Stuart

Re: Help with Temp over Xbee project please
Hi Jac,
I have now connected my analyzer to the data line of the ds18b20, in the chart I disabled everything apart from a 5 second delay and the "get device count" macro, when I reset the uno and trigger the analyzer there is nothing there at all, is this correct ?
Thanks
Stuart

Hi Jac,
Right I have just put together the new Uno and a small DS18b20, these are the results:
Exactly the same, I will plug the analyzer in and see what this says
Thanks

Hi Jac,
My sensors are the waterproof type with long lead, I have tested on Arduino IDE and they work fine, I do have some TO92 type which I can try with later.
Thanks

Re: Help with Temp over Xbee project please
Hi Jac,
I have just removed the vcc on the Ds18b20 and put it to ground, which I believe is parasitic powered, however the results are the same, I have run out of ideas now, I will have to get the logic analyser out and see what is being said and at what speed.
Thanks
Stuart

Re: Help with Temp over Xbee project please
Hi Jac,
The only other thing I can think of then is DS18b20 mode, I have only ever used external power mode, are you using parasitic power mode ?, also I have a pocket DSO and a logic analyser.
Thanks

Hi Jac,
I got a Genuine Arduino Uno today just in case the clones were at fault, I connected everything up, programed the board from Flowcode and these are the results:
exactly the same, no device or address, it has got to be something in Flowcode ?
Thanks
Stuart

Re: Cannot connect to Arduino Yun
Hi, I have a few new Arduino Nanos so I soldered one up this afternoon, when I plugged it in, it loaded a USB SERIAL CH340 DRIVER, I selected 328p Nano in Flowcode and it programmed first time, so I think we are on the right track ie software driver, I updated my Arduino IDE to the latest build but ...
