Re: ENC28J60 - Component
Hi Stefan The Nasbox i use you have to create user accounts and login details and permissions to what that account can use (this is easy to do) But you then have to log in using these credentials before you can read / write - this is why i has second thoughts for now. I do have Naslite2 - this is pr...

Re: ENC28J60 - Component
Hi Ben However it might get fairly technical in terms of permissions etc. I might be tempted to leave this for now as not got a lot of time for this one, and its only a temporary logger that i am making. And had a look at writing to my NAS Drive as you say "Permissions" :( :? :? I am interested thou...

Afternoon
the Component in V7, is this just a web page or can you make a folder then a .csv file and write to this on say a network drive i.e. nas drive ?
just thinking of a data logging project

Re: SuperCapacitor Backup supply
I used Auto hotkey to automatically merge all the files into one CSV file. at the click of a button. Not heard of that will look into it sound a lot easier, than copy and paste each file .....  Ben: How long does it take the cap to charge back up when powered on again? I did a quick tes...

Hi Martin Vdrive working well - I did find they are a bit finakey with usb sticks though. i didn't manage to get a .csv working with it though but works well sending to .txt I then copy and paste to excel so i can do my graphs. do worry about long discharge times, and the amount of data going on the...

Re: SuperCapacitor Backup supply
Hi Martin, I am using it with the Vdrive you sorted out for me, i use it because i am plotting voltage every 10 seconds of some batteries until the deep discharge protection operates then micro can shut down and close the txt file and not corrupt anything when the power goes. The IC's are Tiny did s...

I will measure it and let you know

Re: How to handle/avoid voltage drop on current load (ADC trouble)
Hi Andreas This is more of an EMC sort of issue, with 3 meters of cable you have some wonderful aerial's. Without the use of an oscilloscope this could prove difficult. The noise you are referring to is the PWM switching the LEDs on and off as per the component icon you can see on your dashboard in ...

Re: Thermistor component
Hi Jorgen Some of the resistor values are a bit obscure. I did have difficulty finding some of them and some that where available where "reel" qtys of 5000 This web page turned out to be a godsend. http://mustcalculate.com/electronics/resistorfinder.php so for the 2K5 resistors used - see attached s...

Re: Thermistor component
Hi Jorgen, PT100's also tend to have a constant current source to supply them. The voltage is then measured across the device. Microchip have a application note on using RTD's http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/Appnotes/00687c.pdf Have a look at Fig 4. A Tl341 is a good little reference Steve

Re: How to handle/avoid voltage drop on current load (ADC trouble)
Hi Andreas Voltage sensitive applications do commonly run separate cables to the power supply away from high current devices. You can always put 2 cables in parallel to the high current devices. What is the length of the cable run ? i can help you picking a cable size. It dose become difficult at lo...

Re: How to handle/avoid voltage drop on current load (ADC trouble)
Hi Andreas in addition to martins post above: And assuming a bench power supply that is rated to supply this level of current. The power supply output terminals will be constant and unlikely to drop because of the PSU regulation circuits unless your PSU has a separate Voltage feed back / voltage mon...

Re: Dc voltmeter 0-55v
Hello Derrihj
just be Careful of the current limit settings and temperature.
A rule of thumb for lead acid batteries when charged the current will be approximately 10mA per Ah
so your 18 Ah Battery will be around 180 mA when charged.

Cheers AbhijitR & Ben
My main concern are they robust do they bend / break Easley ? Our guys are not the most delicate.
Do they withstand miss alignment a bit of rough handling i.e. putting the PCB into the Test Jig
