Re: FAT SD Card Data Logger
Hi George, Are you running Flowcode v7.3 and have you applied the fixes listed here? https://matrixtsl.com/mmforums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=19743 If you have then you could try loading the project into Flowcode v9 and see if that solves the problem for you. If it has then I can compare the component fi...

Re: BBC weather component IP address (solved I think)
Hmm interesting,
The URL is resolved to an IP address using your DNS server, this might be something your ISP is providing and maybe there is a problem here. You could try forcing your computer to use the google DNS of 8.8.8.8 or the cloudflare DNS of 1.1.1.1.

Re: Stepper motor Drivers in flowcode
Hello,
Flowcode v9 supports step and direction type stepper drivers.
In earlier versions of Flowcode you probably need to do things using general purpose outputs such as LED components.
For example.

Re: Help with display ILI9341
Hello, It looks like the display on the board is setup for parrallel communications whereas the component in Flowcode 7 only works with a serial SPI type display. You may be able to use the display in serial mode but often this is set on the display's PCB with resistors connected to the display driv...

Hi Rod, It looks like the latest version of the PIC32 compiler may need to be licensed, or at least activated in some way before you can use it. The toolchain we supply is not the latest but should work well. If you need the latest toolchain then maybe when installing there are options on if you wan...

Re: Problems with PIC12F629 that doesn't program them to work
I've posted a new definition file to the v8 and v9 update systems which should hopefully solve the problem for you.
Please note once you have downloaded the definition update you will have to go into the project options and redo your chip configuration settings as they are now in a new format.

Re: Problems with PIC12F629 that doesn't program them to work
Hi Simon, Many thanks for sending the chips and sorry for the delay. I've been doing some digging using them this morning and found out the problem seems to be to do with the configuration. If I use the __PROG_CONFIG method to set the configuration value then the chip does not work. __PROG_CONFIG(0x...

Hello,
Fonts for the 4D systems boards are dictated by the 4D systems API. You should be able to set the font by calling the approproate API command.

Re: ADC NOISE REDUCTION in AVR
Hello,
A common Avr circuit uses a 10uH inductor between vref and vcc and a 100nf cap between vref and gnd. Then in your adc settings switch to use the external vref. This should help to get rid of some noise.
Martins suggestions are also very useful.

Hello,
Looking again the PWM component properties there is no value selected for the Timer, maybe ths could be causing a problem?
Let us know how you get on. If you're still having problems then I'll see if I can replicate here on an Arduino Leonardo.

Hi Abhi, What you have looks great and if it's working then I don't see any problems. Did you confirm the clock speeds with a flasher just to triple check the speeds are correct. Here is a simplified version that would allow you to unplug and replug a card during the main loop without having to rese...

Hello,
Have you looked at the DSP wave generator component, it might do just what you need in terms of generating sine wave look up table values and allowing you to step through the waves at different rates.

Re: FAT SD Card Data Logger
Hello Abhi, The K22 device only has /4 /16 and /64 settings for the SPI I'm afraid so not a lot I can do there in terms of adding more prescaler settings. However using the OSCCON and OSCCON2 registers it looks like you should be able to toggle the PLL functionality on and off to allow you to clock ...

Hello Abhi, What chip are you using, I think we expose the prescalers available on the chip but it could be we have missed a setting on the specific device you're using. I also wonder if it is possible to start at a slower speed, startup the SD card and then switch to a faster speed. Again knowing w...

Re: PWM Control for elektrical motor with potentiometer.
Hello,
Your loop is maybe too tight and hence you are almost constantly writing to the PWM registers, maybe try adding a delay inside the loop to give the PWM chance to run.

Thanks Rob, Glad you're having some progress. The 24F16KA101 device only has one internal RC speed of 8MHz but I think it's also got a PLL that's configurable to give you different speeds, Adding PLL stuff into the Int Osc Helper would certainly be very nice so I'll see if it's something we can add....

Hello, If you disable the watchdog timer in the project options then does this allow the hardware I2C to work without issues, I'm wondering if it's somehow related to the watchdog timing out and resetting. It might also be worth turning off the I2C Stop Delay property and see if this makes any diffe...

Hello, The vibration could be the motor trying to seek to a position it cannot physically get to. It might be better to try and find a nice position where the door is shut and the motor is happy and essentially off. To do this you could move the motor in small increments until the door is shut and t...
