Use of ReceiveRS232String in main loop
Good day all. Up until this point, I am comfortable using ReceiveRS232Char and a decision icon to check if var < 255 before beginning to process any further. My question is, what does the ReceiveRS232String macro return when it is called in a loop and there is no data available? Also if I wanted to ...

writing and reading to the eeprom
Good day all. With eeprom writing and reading what is the rule when writing bytes to a location, then reading those bytes into a string var. I am trying to calculate some values up to 9 then storing the byte results in eeprom locations. I then tried to index the value into a string and print the res...

Re: 18F6722 RS232 flow control, is this a bug?
Hi Benj. I spent the better part to the day trying to get the USART 2 working with now success. I tried Receiving without using flow control and had no success. Using a scope I can see that the data is at the pin. At 9600 the bit width is .11ms. I think there maybe more issues with USART 2 on this P...

Re: 18F6722 RS232 flow control, is this a bug?
When I designed the board I used G3 and G4 for my flow control pins. Is there no way to access them, maybe by changing the FCD file for that chip and if so, what and where do I make the changes?

18F6722 RS232 flow control, is this a bug?
Good day all. I design a circuit that requires RG4 and RG3 be used as RTS and CTS flow control. Under properties for the RS232 component I don't have G as an optional port. The board for my circuit is already done. Is there a way I can use the G port for my flow control pins? Thanks in advance. Ondra

Working with large numbers?
Good day all. I have a project where I need to manipulate, store and transmit large number values. 99,999,999 is the largest value. Can I use a floating point variable? Can floating point store a number that large? Also I need to store this value in the eeprom mem. Can one space hold such a large va...

Just clicked on Restore Defaults and I still get the same results. Should I try reinstalling V3 and if so do I need to uninstall the current install.

Compile linker error
Good day all. I have a file that I have in the past had no problems compiling. I made a change today and tried to compile. Below is the error I got. I'm using a PIC16F690 running a 1966088 crystal. I did update source boost about a 2 weeks ago. I don't know if that would have done it. any assistance...

Re: Errors after update to Flowcode 4.3
Just an note. I just imported a macro into a new program and it looks like V4 is working fine. The original program I'm having problems with was created in V3. So I guess the question is what could be wrong with my program why it would run so slow and hog 100% of CPU? When I upload the program to ch...

Yes I am using the latest version from the website. First I installed from the CD then I upgraded via the website using the patch. I Then deleted/uninstalled flowcode v4 then installed the full version which I downloaded from the site.

Re: Errors after update to Flowcode 4.3
I upgraded to the latest version, and for some reason Flowcode uses 100% of my CPU every time I make a change. It's verrrry slow and I have tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. I get the same results. The other thing is that when I close the program my macro view settings all go back ...

Re: DS2401 Silicon Serial Number help
The first thing I did was check the pull-up, and yes I'm getting 4.89V at the data pin. May be I got a bunch of bad chips. May be the customs officers ran the devices through a scanner and damaged them. I started this about a month now, I'm going to let this go. Thanks for all your help Ben. Is it p...

Re: DS2401 Silicon Serial Number help
Hi Ben. Thanks for your response I purchased 5 ID chips. I sent another unit in a different circuit and I got the same results. I discovered one thing though. Ben, going through the data sheet and the flowchart for the DS2401 I read the instructions below. I don't see where this is happening in your code. Could you advise. Re: DS2401 Silicon Serial Number help
Good day Ben, and thanks again.
I got up this morning and tried everything you suggested with the code changes. I connect a variable resistor and tried different values and I still get the failed error code 2.
Anything else I can try?

Hi Ben. First, thanks for everything and especially for going the extra mile. I loaded the code with the changes to suit my hardware. The reset devices returns an OK. Run-time error 440 and 326
Good day all. I recently updated to the newer version of V4.3.7.63 and when I tried open a program that I originally created in V3 I get run-times errors 440 "Automation error" and 326 "Resource with identifier '35' not found. When I click the OK button for each dialog, I get another dialog which st...
