Remote Freezer Alarm
1.0 Introduction. The purpose of this project is to develop a simple method of monitoring both the temperature and mains supply status of a freezer located for example in an outhouse. It utilises the nRF24L01 RF transceiver to send the data between the remote sensor and main display located inside....

Re: I2C help
Hi Jan I too think I2C can be a difficult concept. Sometimes I can get something to work fairly easily and other times I can really struggle with the device. I bought a book on the subject from Elektor Mastering The I2C BUS by Vincent Himpe, it does cover everything from the basics to advanced topic...

Re: FlowChart to C# conversion
Hi Sergio C was the original language. After that came C++ C++ is similar but has extra commands. A C++ compiler can compile to either C or C++, but A C compiler can only do standard C. C# was the next generation of compiler. I've never used it myself, but if you google it you will be able to find p...

Re: FlowChart to C# conversion
Hi Sergioigel
Once you have developed your flowchart, you can compile to C, compile to hex or directly to the chip, which goes through both c and hex.
You will find these and other intermediate files in the folder you have saved the flowchart file in.
However It cannot compile to C#

Re: formula allcode
Hi Kjell The fcpx files are the compiled components used in flowcode and cannot be read in the same was as for example a "C" source code file. You can look at the code using an editor such as UltraEdit (my choice), but all you will see us blocks of hex numbers. Changing the file will almost certainl...

Sparkfun Frequency Counter Kit
I've just assembled a nice little project, a simple frequency counter based on an ATMEGA 328P device. Its programmed using an Arduino Sketch. (The device comes pre-programmed). Source code can be downloaded from the Sparkfun website, and should be possible to rewrite in flowcode. Specified Maximum F...

Re: 8+16bit Bundles
Hi Docara As Ben points out, the EB091 (16Bit) board is very powerful but the device is fixed and cannot be changed. If you want to use 16bit and be able to change devices, try the EB064 board. Whereas the EB006 can program a wide range of 8bit devices from simple 8pin pics to the 40pin devices. If ...

A few months back Elektor did a feature on a range of development boards. Re: Raspberry PI MATRIX Board and SW
Hi QMESAR I have mainly used the Rasbian os for my Pi's, (not tried noobs). But the big advantage with the pi over conventional computers, is all you have to do is swop the SD card around to get another OS. I have several cards configured for different things, so its easy to try both debian and noob...

Re: E-paper display
Looks interesting
They have a 4.3 inch e-paper display on Amazon of all places for just under £50. Bulk price from a wholesaler would drop that by quite a bit I expect.
Cool Components in the UK have a 2.7 inch for £33.00 (Non in stock ) Usable with Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Re: Enqury about The product & an Error
Hi mdism
Any flowcode licence allows you to load the software on your main PC and another pc owned by you, say your laptop, but a single licence only allows you to run one copy at a time.
If you want to run more than one copy at once you will need two or more licences.

Re: Patch tool not doing cleanups
Hi Flowcode isn't the only culprit that does this. It would be nice if software could do the housekeeping once installed though. I use a program called ccleaner, which for its basic version is free, I've used the pro version ($20) of it for a few years now and it works great for cleaning up the inte...

Atmospheric Pressure Sensor
Hi Ben One thing Id like to see in FC7 sometime ( please :D ) is an I2C atmospheric pressure sensor, along the lines of the Bosch BMP 085 (Adafruit make a break out board for it.) I've had one working on an Arduino using the Adafruit library, but not managed to get anywhere in FC yet. It could even ...

I decided to uninstall 7.04, clean the registry and do a clean install on 7.1 as I had 2 versions of some components from the last release.

Re: Flowcode 6
Hi Garry
I had a similar issue with FC7 this week
It was caused by having a micro USB converter (empty) plugged into the internal card reader.
Removing the adaptor (or having a memory card in the adaptor) and all was well.
