Testing a programme with ZIF Add on Board
Just received new PIC Micro starter pack and have a ZIF Add on board connected to the EB006 Multiprogrammer. I can programme the PIC16F88 chip using the ZIF add on board but the programme does not run afterwards, untill i remove the PIC chip from the ZIF add on and remove the ZIF and put the chip directly into the Multiprogrammer without the ZIF. Is this meant to work like this? Defeats the object of having the ZIF add on if it is.

Re: Testing a programme with ZIF Add on Board
Hello,
The ZIF add-on is designed to allow you to reprogram devices which are then used in other circuit boards without inbuilt programming capabilities. I'm afraid the I/O of the chip is not available to the EB006 when using the ZIF programming adapter.
