EICO RC1 & RC2 stuck together?

Postby jadiflow » Wed Jan 07, 2009 11:35 am

Hi,

I have a funny issue. I'm bitbanging some peripheral on RC1 and RC2 of an EICO 2455 module.
When I step through my program, I notice that whenever I set RC1, RC2 also is set, and vice versa. It looks as if RC1 and RC2 are connected together.

As target I use EICO-28 as modified for the erroneous RA6 that we found some time ago. I can't see anything wrong with the .fcd at first glance.
What do you think?

Hello Jan

Are you noticing this problem on the ECIO hardware or in the simulation in Flowcode.

Could be that the pins have been physically shorted together somehow. We do a test when manufacturing the ECIOs to make sure that no pins are shorted together so it maybe that this has happened recently or maybe the short is very tempremental.

Can you check the pins of the Microcontroller onboard the ECIO. Seeing as its the ECIO28 it should be fairly easy to spot if there is a short anywhere on the board.
