Matrix user forums

I would imagine most users on these forums, like me have a load of components for various projects laying around.
Keeping them in some order can be quite difficult.

For users in the UK I've ust found these great storage boxes in the local 99p shop.

Hi, Thought I'd throw my system into the mix, took a few years to find a storage system that worked for me.
Sample pots. Crystal clear PolyStyrene, 45ml volume, ~30mm dia and 70mm Tall. With Tough push on LDPE Lids. Took forever to find just the right pot and would comfortably take standard resistors on the tape but these work very well, Not antistatic but no problems so far housing all of my other components and surface mount bits.
I use the ones from Medfor http://www.medfor.co.uk Part# FBA0045A, have to by 200 at a time and work out at 33p each after tax and delivery is added.
The stickers on the top are 29mm dia LP54/29R from http://www.LabelPlanet.co.uk allow me to make neat printed labels for the most commonly used parts or just hand write on them.
I mostly buy from Farnell so also cut out the label supplied, an stuff it in the tube; real easy to reorder and confirming what part is in what tube.
Not the cheapest and took a bit of setting up but works really well on a day to day basis.

I keep resistors in small envelopes,(actually kids dinner money envelopes, got them in the works (thats a discount book and stationary shop in the UK) one for each value.
I try and keep them in some order but not always easy.But dont take up much room.
