Changing Target devices

When changing target device:
Rather than a pop up window saying unable to run one or more commands, then flowcode refusing to change target until corrections are made. Would it be possible for Flowcode to change to different target then warn you?
Reason for this is if there is an icon to read the whole port A with masking on original target, and on new target whole of port A is not available, but whole of port E is, so can use that.
Flowcode will not allow me to change input from port A to port E because port E does not exist on the original target.
So I have to delete all icons (rather then just alter) associated with the confliction, before allowed to change target.
