ECIO28 Windows10

Post by phyl99 »

Bonjour,

Hello,

Please can you attach the program your using with the ECIO device. The ECIO should only appear for a few seconds after being reset to allow it to be reprogrammed. After about 5 seconds from being reset the ECIO will detach from the USB and begin to run your program. If you want USB functionality from within your program then you can use one of the Flowcode USB components to allow this.

Bonjour,

Merci

Thank you for your explanations , I understand now why ECIO appears a few seconds and then disappears . I made a mistake in the description of my problème. My problem becomes actually from the preprocessor , small dots appear indefinitely and I have to wait more than 3 minutes before the loader starts ( with an empty program). In fact I had never waited so long and I thought it was not working but I just noticed that it works after this long wait . Can you tell me what to do to reduce this time please. Thank you.

Bonjour,

Hello,

Yes that sounds like a problem, the compilation should not take anywhere near that long with an empty program. Flowcode v6 and previous use the BoostC compiler which is quite slow to compile already but should not be taking that long to complete with a blank program. My guess would be that your Antivirus or Firewall is causing the long compilation time. One way to work around this is to "White List" the Flowcode directory in your AntiVirus/Firewall software and that should allow the compilation to complete without being constantly scanned for viruses.

bonjour,

Cordialement

Hello,

Indeed, when I quit the antivirus, the compilation goes faster, approximately 20s . It remains for me to find the white list you are speaking about. Thank you for your help.

Bonjour,

Hello,
I put Flowcode6 , Pp.exe and boostc_18.exe in Kaspersky trusted applications, but it does make any change , it takes several minutes to download in the target. If I disable Kaspersky, it still takes about 45 seconds, it's a long time !
Is there a solution to this problem?

cordially

Philippe

Hello Philippe,

Try also adding these exe's to the trusted applications list.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\compilers\pic\boostc\fc_launcher.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Flowcode 6\compilers\pic\boostc\linker.exe
