unrecognized chip

Post by Xavier »

Hi Guys

I want to configure a PIC16C770 but when I go to the chip configuration I get a message (from the Matrix pic micro programmer) unrecognized chip on command line <PIC16C770> I have tried with other PIC16C and 12C but the problem is the same, how can I solve this issue?

Best regards
Xavier

Hi Xavier,
Im afraid the EB006 does not appear to be compatble with 12C or 16C devices.
From the EB006 V9 datasheet:

The way around it would be to use another programmer that does support 12C and 16C devices in ICSP mode and connect it to EB006 ICSP connections.
