Wont Burn Program to 16F690 Chip

Hello all. Cant seem to burn my program to the 16F690 chip. Compiles to C and Hex all OK.

I have attached a screen grab of the error message and also of my chip settings. Hopefully somebody will spot my mistake.

Hi John,
The usual cause of the error messag eyou can see are poor connections between Programmer and microcontroller.
Or there is a cap between programming connections and ground.
Have you got a circuit diagram?

You can check voltage are correct at each programming pin, by using the Pickit2 standalone programming software and going to Tools, Troubleshoot....

Hi Martin, it looks like something has gone wrong with my PICkit2 programmer. I think its software so I'll reinstall it tomorrow and let you guys know what happens..
