Hi,
I have tried to download updates on both my home wifi router and also with a mobile phone dongle and get almost to the end of the download when I get a message something like "download failed network error".
Can you tell me how to get around this please?

Is it possible for the firmware on my EB006 to be corrupted by a virus or other nastie? I have run Spybot Search and Destroy and it found several files that it removed. I have done a clean install from CD but I still can't send a program to the chip.

For the updates, we have had no other reports of the update downloads failing. Do you have another PC/device you can try download the updates for? I can PM you a direct link if you wish to try this. You can then use a USB device to transfer the installer to your computer with Flowcode.

I would say it would be impossible for anything to effect the EB006 firmware in that way. However it is possible to damage the chip etc. We would need more information on the errors you are receiving when attempting to download to help diagnose this one.

I have noe updated Flowcode successfully.
