OT: Forum Attachment 7z

Hi Guys,
is it possible to add the file format 7z for attachment? zip is allowed.
because if upload 7z the file must rename with ".zip" and some useres not know how this must done to "remove the last 4 character ;-) ... ;-) ..
;-)
if possible this would be lighter for the uploader "and" downloader ;-)

I have also posted 7zip files on here but had to rename them as .txt

7zip would be a great help
