Flowcode 6.0.10.0 install Trojan issue

Post by KevinH »

Hi, just did an update to 6.0.10.0 and Norton Internet Security detects the activation file as a trojan.
Flow Code licence trojan.PNG
(50.27 KiB) Downloaded 3046 times
This caused my Pro install to downgrade to trial....
Took a chance and listed it as an exception and did the install a few times, but 'got there'!

How can we verify that this is a false positive and not a compromised download?
What is the correct work around to fix this?

Hi dazz, thanks for your reply. I had put my faith into a secure update delivery and instructed NIS to ignore the file and all now seems good with my FC re-registered and back to its Pro status.

As an observation, on the few occasions I have had issues with NIS (or other AV) it always seems to be related to the registration software or files, I presume this must be related to their size and that 'trojan/virus like' techniques are used for preventing the software being ripped off?

Above is just a comment, no answer required!

Thanks for your reassuring post.

Thanks
KevinH

hi,

I have also had this issue if you goto norton 'on line support' and report a technical issue they can sort it

( they also gave me an extra 90 days licence as way as an apology  )

Hi
6.0.10..? aha.. so gorgeous - thank you for this message -
Is there again a new version availabel?
Is the 6.0.10.0 a unlive patch || Release Candidate]/b] || Release patch ?
I have not read in Forum "Flowcode v6.0.10 Live + Recent Major Bugs & Fixes"
is a list of all the major changes availabel?
times would be really nice if the revisions would order in futures post's
It would also be nice if newer versions would be made known in the forum with the associated of all the major changes list before.
Best wishes
Rudi
