RX1602A4-BIW-TS lcd
Good morning Matrix people. I bought this RX1602A4-BIW-TS 2x16 lcd display based on the ST7032i chip. So far no one of the lcd IIC dispays I tried worked...Did I do something wrong or the code it just not compatible? And if is not, can you write a new component please?
Best regards
Sakis

Hello Sakis,
I don't beleive we currently support the ST7032 driver IC but yes it should be possible to add it.
Are you able to send us a display to help develop the code and for testing purposes?
If not I can have a go at a component but it makes things more tricky to get right.

Hello Sakis,
Display received, many thanks for that.
I'll get to work on it ASAP and let you know when I have some progress.
Hopefully later this week.

Re: RX1602A4-BIW-TS lcd
Hello,
Component has now been created and tested. I've now pushed it to the update system, just do a full database update in v8 and you should get the new component.
I had problems using internal weak pull ups on the I2C pins, you need external 10K pullups for it to work nicely.
Let me know how you get on.
